I'm not sure what u have done with escribe . I ran case analyzer and battery anaylyser. I also set my mod resistance. I pretty much config everything I could. Running the analysis of everything took a few hrs each. But once it was all done it seem to make the box run alot better.
Pretty big dissapointment that hcigar shipped these mods without properly configuring them .
What really made me perform all these tasks was sweet spot vapors. They make there own custom ti wire for temp control . They have a post on evolve forum about the importance of all these setting being configured to use tc properly.
If u can find the post it would be a good read for anyone interested in what and why to do these things. I wrote to hcigar asking for the values we need to input but never heard back. If I do i will post all the values on here for everyone else. If u want to copy mine when I get outta work I'll sign up for imigr. So I can post pic of my escribe screen shots.

Well, I havent really done that much. Setting some profiles. Setting the battery meter according to the calculator. Havent messed with discharge curve, Left CutOff at default 3.09V. Havent ran the battery analyzer, a bit hesitant doing so cuz some ppl have reported heating issues etc.

Would running the battery analyzer really make such a difference?

5 puffs before 'Weak Battery'' (last bar still visible)
N96TdIb.jpg

Right before ''Weak Battery'' (last bar disappeared)

Charged with 1A wall adapter and set on 14.43 - it works just fine with me.

Battery life?
Hmm.. I have a feeling taht second box can do it better (BOXER with ZIPPY 1000mAh). I have to take a look on it closely.

Whats on VT200?
Zephyrus prebuild dual Ni200 0.22ohm - 50W preheat - 230C - 35W. I did 2.5 tank on it, which give roughly 12-13ml LQ. NOT IMPRESSED!

The upper picture is what mine looks like when I run it as 1150mAh. At that much left I get the weak battery alert and I could not remove the last tiny bit of the bar.

I'm pretty dissapointed myself with the life when u crank up the watts. It wouldn't be too hard to build an extension and put bigger battery. But for all that u can just build a new one.

Like Hana One? I was thinking EXACLY same. VT200 is small enough to extend it a bit for better LiPo capacity.

Kraze,

I am not picking on you but I hate unattached post makes it hard to reference to whom or what you are talking about. So you were the one talking about what I have been thinking about since the DNA 200 came out with this LiPo stuff.

My point is I have been wondering how long it would be before folks realize that a 200 watt chipset with a battery comparable to a single 18650 all stuck in a package the size of a Zippo Lighter might not be able to perform like they would like it to.

The only Temperature control device I have that has adequate battery capacity is my Vapor Flask DNA40 with dual parallel 18650s. Now take a 900 mAh battery put it in a box with a DNA 200 and I am sure I am not the first to be disappointed in the battery life.

Yes I now all the stuff about the 3 cell LiPos... take the individual cell capacity and multiply by 3 unless it is the first or 3rd Tuesday of the month... whatever. But that still doesn't come close to a single IMR 3000 mAh constant current 35 Amp 18650.

Why some folks didn't see this coming is just beyond me. I know this is just a long winded way of saying "I told you so" but back when LiPo batter discussions were going on absolutely no one wanted to here "It needs to be bigger" size does matter.

Anyway my little rant is over and I completely agree that a LiPo in the 1 Ah range is not going to last a vapor very long if you are running in the 50 watt and above range.

George,
That's not how lipos work. A 3 cell lipo with 1300 mah has exactly that. U don't multiply anything. I don't where that came from. I see it posted all over the Internet that the vt200 has 3900 mah. They are lying to make the battery sound great to people interested in buying the device.
I get about a full work day running 50watts and 500 f . Really not too bad. But when you are outta the house on the weekend half a day won't work. Won't be too bad when we can get replacement batterys. I knew what I was getting into buying the box on release. But like u said it's not a dual 18650 box.
On the other hand I will say this chipset is awesome . The vape I get from the crown ni200 coils on my sig is good ,but on the dna200 it's great.
I wouldn't be surprised if hcigar released a slightly bigger model with a 2000 mah lipo. Their device is so small now that adding a little more room wouldn't really hurt .
Don't get me wrong the battery life sucks compared to the 25rs in my sig . But I love the box . And if u really want to u can run the chip with dual 18650s . It will only put out 133 watts but I don't get much over 80 max anyway.
Yeah my post are Lil scattered I'm on my phone at work .

Kraze,

I only quoted the X3 business because it seem to be the general consensus on the matter and I didn't feel like arguing the point. I tried once or twice to explain that 900 mAh cells in series are still 900 mAh and 900 mAh cells in parallel are additive i.e. 900 || 900 = 1800 mAh. If you noticed I tried to take the edge off my comment of the X3 business with the sarcasm about the day of the month. All you have to do is go to Battery College.com to verify what you and I are saying. I probably should not have thrown that in but believe me the folks that believe that it is true are "True Believers" and beyond debate.

I don't doubt that you get a full day our of your Hcigar I actually get a full day out of my Evolv 900 mAh Reference unit. That said let me add that I am a relatively light vapor. I use 24 mg juice at a rate of 3 to 5 ml a day and I run at typically 22.5 to 30 watts depending on the juice I am using. I also think the DNA 200 Chipset is awesome and the addition of eScribe is frosting on the cake.

The only complaint I have with the DNA 200 is I don't know why they went for 200 watts. I would have been perfectly happy with a DNA 200 chip set that ran at 75 watts or 100 if you just have to have it. that ran on parallel 18650s. I just want to Vape and blow some thick rich clouds not run a Steam Locomotive Engine. I generally use my DNA 200s around the house and short trips to the store. If I had to go to work and/or take a day trip I will grab my dual 18650 powered powered DNA40 and a couple of extra batteries just incase.

One further opinion I have on the use of these LiPos is even if you could buy the LiPos that your particular Mod maker decided to use some people are going to be a little disenchanted with the connectors (in the units that used connectors) and the space inside these units to pull out the battery break and make the connectors on the replacement battery and stuff all that stuff back into the space provided which is no easy task. Nor is it my belief that the connectors used were ever intended for a once or twice a day disconnect/connect cycle and may fail from over use.

Kraze, I have seen some of the printed plastic double and triple 18650 boxes (now I going to get into trouble again) are cosmetic junk and I won't mention look silly IMHO except for that fact that they use normal battery trays, batteries that everyone already has are big enough to last a reasonable length of time and can be changed out in a twinkle and charged on the charger that everyone already has. But for some reason beyond my scope of comprehension Evolv decided to go for 200 watts forcing the use of LiPos which forcing everyone to abandon their existing battery stash and chargers. And for what the 200 watts that nobody uses on a device that is designed to keep the vaporization temperatures down to safe levels for human inhalation. I am not criticizing your vaping habits 'Kraze' but even at 500 degrees from what the Greek doctor (I can't remember his name) says you are pushing the upper temperature limit. That is OK with me please don't take that as criticism of your vaping style that is completely up to you. But one does have to wonder what you or I are ever going to do with the extra 150 watts.

Regards,
George

I'm only on the 3mg but I use the crown sub tank fulltime. I usually go through 2 to 3 tanks a day and there 4ml. I use alot of juice but its way cheaper than my old smoking habit. I been using the crown ni200 coils there dual coil rated from 250 to 350 c they take alot more power and temp to fire properly. If it was a single coil it would be way to much. On my sig 150 tc I can't get over 210c and 40 j but the vt200 50watts and 500 f is the sweet spot.

Kraze,

That is one reason I stay with 24 mg I find if I lower it it was like when I tried to smoke "Lite Cigs" I ended up just smoking more. As far as being cheaper the our old cigarette habits you bet it is a lot cheaper.

On the dual coil I know exactly what your are talking about. I purchased a Velocity dripper and some 25/75 PG/VG juice to use in it. I too found my battery life went to pot (so to speak) and I had to crank the temperature way up to get the VG to vaporize.

So I am pretty much back to single coil 25 watts 50/50 juice and I try like heck to coil and wick so that the temperature stays at or below 450 something I could never do with the 25/75 juice. Like you I would be up around the 500F mark to get a decent cloud.

Catch 22 the stuff I like cost batteries power and high temperatures and the OK stuff allows me to vape with better battery life and cooler temperatures.

Just an FYI: Any lipo you buy that has a name on it is a "re-wrap" as people are calling it. There isn't a brand of lipo out there that is manufactured by that name. All lipos are ordered from the true manufacturer at size requests with the option of having their label placed on it or unmarked.

Fullymax, the manufacturer that Evolv used, does make their own cells from scratch....as well as their own packs.

http://www.fullymax.com/fullymax/saineng_list-33.html

Not all are re-wraps...

http://fullymaxusa.com/

You just have to do your homework and find an actual cell manufacturer.
