Mine just showed up, along with the 26650 green Efest from IMR too. Yay! Battery is off charging so I'm just playing around with it my hand until I power it up. First very early impressions. What's up with that beauty ring? I can't see any reason for it with smaller tanks. Second, it's smaller than I expected (good thing), just a bit wider than my CF4 18650, due to the thicker battery compartment. Third, the finish. It feels fine, and the black surface is a nice texture, but given that texture, I'm not sure the aluminum it's made from feels any different than a quality plastic would have. Maybe I'll wrap, maybe I won't, decision is out on that.
Fourth, what's the deal with this battery cover? I took the 18650 sleeve out, went to put the battery cover back on, and after carefully threading it on (not the best threading I've dealt with and can see it getting messed up pretty easily) it keeps threading in. Is that normal without a battery in there? Does the battery cap only stop when it engages an actual battery? Sorta weird.
I am left with one question. After looking over the unit, and reading the instruction manual, it doesn't say how to insert the battery. I'm assuming positive side down (into the unit, positive pointing towards the 510 connector), is that right? Also it says it has reverse polarity protection for erring in that choice, but I thought DNA 75 and 200 boards didn't offer that.
