Cool logos man! I may snag a couple of those. I knew my Wreckers were missing something! LOL!
By all means, help yourself!

If you want a screen made up that is not to complicated since the display is only mono. Let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I looked back a bit and didn't see what I was looking for talked about. How is everyone dealing with the voltage drop in the 26650's? I have tried a few different brands recommended by Mooch and still only get to about 40% before the voltage is dropping to low. I run at about 35 watts <>=.5 ohms. I have an efusion dna200 that went defective a few months after owning it. Just not having a good time with DNA boards. I love my hcigar for the feel and the size but my two rx 2/3's kick the crap out of the VT75 for strength of hit and longevity. Temp control they about =. $40 vs $100 and the $40 gives a better experience. I know the debate of 28650 vs 26650's and quality of good mfg. not making solid batteries, just wondering how people are dealing with 26650 performance.

For the most part... 26650s suck.

There must be some reason the major mfgr's have focused on capacity (Mah rating) versus capability (CDR amp rating). With that big fat can I just don't understand the focus, the available products should be more balanced.

I stopped looking as the high CDR Sony's are no longer available, but I understand there are a small few that provide the kind of CDR we're used to with our 18650s... the Basen Black being one of them.

If you feel like pursuing it, check Mooch's 26650 ratings chart and see what you can find for sale.

I'm using a Green Efest that's rated as 20A by them and 23A by Mooch and it's been OK for me. Then again, I really don't push it very hard. If I'm going for 50W I'll use one of my 2 or 3 battery setups. Right now I have it set up with dual SS Claptons ~0.24 ohm and 40W 440F in TC and have no issues. According to Mooch, the best 26650s on the market right now are the iJoys that come with the Lux. It's just really hard to find a place to order them from, and I've had no luck with that in the US. If someone does know, please post it as I would pick up a few for my VT75 and my Presa 100, which are the only 2 mods I have that can take a 26650.

Yeah, but the problem is you an't get batteries shipped into the US as a consumer from China (or anywhere else as best I know). It's a whole "safety in shipping" thing with Customs or someone who won't bring them in. I guess wholesalers must have special arrangements, as places like Illum and IMR have to get them somehow from China as that's where they're all made.

I'm pretty sure lots of folks are getting 18650s etc. from China... just not Air Freight.

You gotta plan for the "slow boat". :D

I know GB was still shipping batteries but FT wasn't the last time I tried to get a couple.

Then I was surely thinking of all the GB orders I've seen written about.
I've only ever ordered mine domestically, so I didn't know about FT's change, thanks.

I've deleted FT items that had small batteries (never a LiPo mod or the like) just because of the shipping delay... can't say either if those are still available to the US.

Okay, so I finally got around to hooking my device up to the computer with Escribe. I just applied a service pack update, and changed a couple of the profiles. I also switched the battery type from lypo to lithium ion 18650 (which is what I had in there from the start). I really like the ability to watch the live data with the device monitor. I wanted to know if anyone here knows how to change the number of times the screen displays temperature protect? currently, when it hits TC, it displays the protect screen 4 times. I just want it to display once. I can tell there is a LOT of stuff in Escribe, and it would take a while to figure it all out.

It's easy, I just don't have Escribe installed right now... as I recall, it's near the top of the page/tab which shows the various screen graphics though it may be on the battery tab. Have a look, it's a simple change.
Annoyed the hell out of me too.

The other sweet tip is to change the default click lock (for adjusting power in TC etc.) down to 3 clicks... also easy to find.

I keep saying that... though I know there's a lot to wade through. :p
