If you are using a 18650 and the battery cap is screwed in to far the bottom part of the mod will get hot and get hot fast when firing but as soon as you release the fire button it cools quickly. I think this is getting misinterpreted as a shock. I find if I keep the battery cap as flush as possible it doesn’t get hot. When I run my 26650 it never happens.

Are they the Basen Black? (not sure if there are more than two or three)
NONE to date are living up to what I consider the CDR/mAh balance potential of the 26650, but the Basen Black appears to be the clear frontrunner (the good Sony's are discontinued).
Do you recall the live V sag readings when you made the graph you posted?

All I have in Basen is the black ones. Got em from Li-ion, inexpensive and shipped very quick. The green non-descript unknowns I picked up from a local vendor. I had recalled that they had the yellow or orange (AWT?) ones but those are in 18650's, I picked up two to try. My big voltage dips were from the green ones, I did not catch the live voltage of the dip but I'm sure it was in the 2.xx volt range as testing once I figured out that I could capture the values to a .csv file showed 2.75V dips after the battery had charged an hour or more on USB.
Both of my VT75's now have Basen's installed (one just came in yesterday), my other 26650 mods have ether Basen, Mxjo's or Boxer batteries in them. One has the other non-descript no-name battery. I'll have to watch it closely.

As far as i was aware it s the Hotcig DX75 that had the issue, not the Higar VT75, I think folks are getting mixed up between the two.
I was only able to minimally run the battery down yesterday. Maybe I'll get a better (worse) reading tonight.
I had swapped my build for a NiFe48/52 28AWG flat wire with 4 wraps. This brings the mass down to 34.97mg. I turned off the preheat and I'm now using just 20W to regulate the build.
On both the test fire and actual draw the 20W pulled the battery down to 3.53V.

Here's with a bit more use. I topped off the tank after morning and a little afternoon use.
The 3.74V is giving me a ~50% battery indication. Not a bad droop.

I've had mine for a month maybe longer and I have no sign of wear yet. I think it's probably normal for paint to wear off the bottom of any mod over time.

Fagin gave both the 26650 mods a damn good scratch with metal and the flat areas came through fine. It was only when he hit an edge that he got the coating to scrape off a bit.

I think it's SOP for the bottom of mods to show wear. Any mod that I've taken out a lot usually has that. My VT133 that I always take out has that same sort of wear. I don't look at that as a big deal at all.

I was in on preorder, so got it nearly as soon as it came out, and used everyday, admit not left house, but no complaints on how it is holding up from me.
That's a lot a wear for only having it 3 weeks. I rotate my mods so I'm probably not a good side by side comparison. I also treat my mods like little babies because I love them so much. When I started vaping I only used one mod all the time and it showed the wear on the bottom.
Excluding the wear on the bottom how are you liking it?
