So, a Day 2 report. After a ton of fiddling around in eScribe, I think I have it set up as I want it. TC on 316L is absolutely smooth. I know the DNA 75 was supposed to be better on 316L than the 200 before the latest update for the 200, and right now I can't tell a difference between them in use.

The mod feels good in my hand. I like the texture, easy to hold, and am rethinking whether I really do want to rewrap it or not. The weight with the 26650 is also fine for me. Not the lightest mod I have, but it feels solid. My only quibble for now is that little LED under the fire button. Why is it there?
I have the Nano of this arriving on Monday, can't wait to give it a try :) also 480ml of ejuice showing up on Wednesday so I'll give it a run for it's money, well actually it and 240ml was free as I'm a winner so I'll let it run for its freedom? lol...

Turns out both of the Super Tank Mini bases were slightly loose.
Glad you got it sorted out. Mine isn't here yet. Screwed up a bit and ordered it out of China. Three days later a US vendor had it a bit cheaper even. Oh well. Playing with a Hotcig DX200 currently.

Just got mine in the mail today. Liking it so far. I really like the ease of customizing it with the Escribe software.
Have had the nano for a couple days now, love it! Make sure if it's not set to Li-Po set the battery to Li-On and you'll get better battery life..

I've been using beefy 3.5mm 12wrap 26g SS316L Coils in Temp mode and it's great!

What's the ohms and what tank please? Sounds like an interesting build.

If you're looking to play with SS for TC and go with the more common 316L, be aware it has very gradual slope (TCR ~92?), making it more difficult to regulate for TC than other metals or other SS such as 430. However, both the DNA 75 and now the 200 handle 316L beautifully. It will be easier if you do not go for very low resistance with 316L for the chip to manage the coil. I'll build to 0.5 to 0.3 ohm at the lowest with 316L for TC.

A good source for SS, and other wires as well, is Temco. You can order direct from them or on Amazon where you'll get free shipping even if you're not a Prime member. Their quality is excellent, and their prices are well below "vaping" branded wire.

And as you might be aware, another advantage to SS is you can use it in wattage mode as well, so if you want to run your build on something without TC, you're still good, unlike Nickel or Titanium.

I agree with everything he said. I want to add I normally use SS430 because it does have about a 50% higher TCR than SS316 or 317. With the new firmware it's not as big of a deal as it once was. However if anyone is interested in getting SS430, I've found the best place is Unkamen. Good quality and reasonably priced.

I heard/remember reading there were some issues with 430 availability from Unkamen. Is that cleared up, or am I just confused as usual?
I think you are thinking about when they tried carrying NiFe awhile back (the TCR was off). I've never heard anyone complain about their SS430 other than they don't have it in any sizes between 22 - 28ga (no 24 or 26).

Recently Crazy Wire in the UK had a problem with their SS430 (not running right with the TCR of .00138).

I think it's one of those that you are probably thinking of. :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

And you're probably right. That's what happens when you read about stuff you don't usually use and only a partial memory imprints. I should look to pick some up to try, but I have a boatload of Temco SS here I'm still working through which is doing great on my 200 and 75 mods.
