Hey Everyone,

Finished Day 4 of pure vapin. Using a cheaper 510-t and an ego 510-t my friend lent me. I was going to purchase one until tonight. I absolutly love the ego battery life (1000 mah) love the look and feel (rubberized black). I think I'm upset with the tank system.

1. My wifes 510-t leaks like crazy. Think it may just be the one atomizer, but her tounge is now sore (prob from the juice) and it's starting to turn her off vaping.

2. The build quality of the 510-t is not up to my standards. Feels like a cheap dollarstore purchase.

3. My friend used clove flavored juice only in the ego atomizer and tank and for the life of me I cannot get that flavor to go away. I have tried almost every cleaning method on here.

4. When bragging tonight to another friend who vapes, he was using my 510-t and after about 20 min it started to taste burnt. Half a tank still full, took it apart cleaned it and it worked for a bit.

I research too much, watched a grimmgreen video tonight about the ego-t that scared me. I want the best vaping experience. I've always bought the most expensive cigarettes and beer, because I want to enjoy my addictions to the fullest. lol However, the wife is watching my pocketbook lol. I'm looking for something that would be good (maybe ego with drip tip or cartamizers??) Not looking for a mod yet (thinking that'll be next month after I break even ont he analogues vs vaping) Any recomendations? All I care about is something that is consistant, good vapor, good flavor. I'm at work for 8 hrs + 2 hrs commute so I need something that has good battery life and decent storage (which is why I tried tanks first) My local supplier has the ego f1-W, however I'm still such a noobie I don't always know what I'm looking at.

Thank you all so much for your help

i have an ego t and have been having problems with the tank recently myself. I bought some Boge cartomizers (right now using regular but have some LR ones coming) and i really like those cartomizers on the ego battery! They are totally cheap, get some cartomizers (that fit a 510) and a drip tip for the top. I think it would get you by until you move on to something better!

I am going to agree with dotma, hated the ego-t and had all the same issues.

I would also recommend the boge 510 cartos. Very easy to use and while they don't last as long they are very cheap. I would also consider getting a tank of some kind, I like the liquidnator but Look around your taste may differ.

Good luck!

This. You already have the batts and chargers. Just ditch the tank system and get some LR Boge cartomizers, which screw directly into the battery. This will eliminate the tank and atomizer setup you are currently using, and you can buy a 5-pack of cartos for under $10.

I support the Boge low resistance cartos 100%. You might also want to try the CE2 clearomizers. You will need small a 1ml syringe to load them. Another thing to try is a driping atomizer like the 306 with a drip tip. All three will give you excellent taste, no leaking unless you severely overfill them, and great vapor.

For the eGo tanks, check out Vicki's video from Cignot. Cleaning is an important part of tank maintenance. You also need to use a juice that contains some VG. 100% PG will leak like a sieve in a tank. Adding some VG thickens the juice. 70pg/30vg is a good starting mix. Some like 50/50.

Wow. I'm still new, but have no leaking issues with my eGo type B tank. Is this something I can look forward to or happens once the tank and atty age some?

I like the tank and can't wait for the Leo tank atty and empies to arrive. :)

The tank depends on vacuum to prevent the juice from leaking out. As you draw, vacuum on the atomizer end overcomes the vacuum in the tank and you get juice feeding. As the tank level drops, there is more air in the tank and the larger bubble expands more easily, enough so that if you put it in your pocket and walk around, the jostling can allow juice to feed.

Thcker juices leak less in a tank. There needs to be some VG in the juice to raise viscosity. 70pg/30vg to 50/50 is good. 100% PG tastes great, but needs gentle handling in a tank to prevent leaks (like use around the house).

I prefer cartos (Boge 510 and CE2 clearomizers) and drip tips (306 and 801). The 801 will require an adapter to screw in.

The newer tanks have silicone end caps that help prevent leaks. You can get them from your supplier if you have the plastic ones on your current tanks.

1 - I don't use tanks. You have to vape slowly with all methods. Don't suck hard. And if you have too much trouble then switch to Boge cartomizers (2.5-3 ohm stuff for slim 510 - slim ecigs cannot use the LR hotter stuff). Most people use cartomizer. Tanks attract new vapers though. And I would use MANUAL Joye 510 batteries so you don't have to suck hard. However, buy them their own charging cable - do not charge any other 510 batteries with a 510-T cable.

2. Did you buy Joye brand? My 510's are fine. For a battery that costs $10-12 I am quite pleased with the quality of original manufacturer Chinese ecigs. I won't use automatics though. Note - if you ever buy normal 510 batteries do not charge them in the 510-T charger - the 510-T charger can fry/melt normal 510 and Ego batteries.

3. Do not put clingy flavors in atomizers. Use METAL cartomizers like Boge (because some strong flavors like cinnamon can damage plastic - dunno about cloves) and flavors like connamon and cloves are hard to get out of atomizers. And they are oil-based flavors - try pure grain alcohol for cleaning but good luck. Some people use a separate atomizer for such flavors. Cartomizers are your best bet for such flavors. Metal cartomizers.

4. What PG/VG of juice? Tanks like the thickness of PG w/ 20-30% VG. Thinner will work but might be more prone to leak. Thicker (more VG) may not wick fast enough and that will cause burnt taste. Also - sometimes tank attys need their wick adjusted to prevent burnt taste. there should be Youtube videos about that.

If nothing else, I recommend everyone using 510 or Ego tanks buy and learn to use Boge cartomizers and keep some around for clingy or plastic-eating flavors, and just as a backup method of vaping for when atomizers are having problems.

I've had the ego-t for several months now. I had lots of leak problems and I use 100% vg. I started buying lots of the silicone replacement caps for the tanks and that helped a little. But to help me stay away from analogs im leaning towards a mod. Seems to be the only way to get the best vaping experience. If you try cleaning your atty by taking it apart like in that video, be careful. I've ruined two attys doing that. I just put my attys in a cup of vodka overnight and that seems to be the best for me. Although the alcohol will mess with the paint. But to me function is better than looks.

Maybe you've gotten the help you need but here is my 50cents.

Vaping since 4.9.2011 (0 analog).
Gear tested/used:
510 Complete starter kit (yeah I know the furcap-model with sucky battery life etc) But I got a hang of the eCig world with this set and here I am :)
eGo-style 510 1100mAh (Don't know if it really is that big. But gives a decent enough ride).
eGo 650mAh VV 3-stage (Love the feature that I can follow the charge of my battery. And that's it).
DIY Nokia 5530-mod (Just in case of emergency)
--
CE2 Clearomizer
G4 Cartomizer
510PC-3/Final G4
eGo Mega DC Cartomizer Steel/Clear 5ml (SmokTek)
DC XL Cartomizer (SmokTek)
Boge LR Cartomizer
SmokTek Cartomizer
Ovale A + tank
and some random Clearos out there...

For me the battery's tend to last aprox 1day vape. Depending on how ...... I get during the day ofc.
And the amount of juice I use depends on the same '....ty day'-factor. But usually around 2-4ml.

What I carry with me:
2x Battery 5x Boge LR Cartos filled with the best juices I have. If I get dull to one flavor I can switch or if I run out... Well you get the picture.
And if I run out of juice in my battery during the day, switch to the battery fully charged and give the empty battery a good night worth of recharge (when I get home) to take with me the next day.

What I would suggest is that you'd just get 2x Big A** batterys and a small carry pouch for them. Pack or two of your favorite Cartos (there are some great testers out @ HC but you could also ask from friends or order from the nearest seller to you). Pre-fill few cartos to but in your carry pouch with the extra battery you have charged full, one in your newly bought big a** battery and your ready to go on a journey to infinity ... and beyond!

Oh and the smallest eGo carry pouch fits 2x eGo battery (with Cone on depending on the mAh/height) 2x 10ml juice bottles and 4-5 Boge's with drip tips on them. So blenty of space and it still fits your pocket.

[Incoming parcels : 2x from UK vendors | 1x from Poland | 5x from China].. Think that solves MY gear issues (both E-powers included).

Image of my survival-kit (Sorry for the poor quality, can't find my DC)
