Have any of you ever gotten headaches when you switched from smoking to vaping? If so how long did they last? Just wondering cause I started vaping about 2 weeks ago and i hope I'm not the only one here that this is happening to. I use an eleaf ipower with an aspire cleito tank and I believe I may have found my comfort level of 8mg nic juice. I first started out with 12 mg nic juice and that proved to be way too much for my set up and 6mg was way too weak. When I first started with the 12mg it made me nic sick and I got severe headaches. 8mg keeps me satisfied but I still get headaches and have to take ibuprofen daily. My current juice ratio is 70vg and 30pg, I try to keep myself hydrated as much as possible throughout the day. So I don't really know what's going on, is this normal cause I quit actual analogs and my body is healing itself? How long will this last?

Are you drinking a minimum of 64oz of water a day? :)

It's part of the withdrawal from all the noxious chemicals in cigarettes as your body purges them. If they continue to be severe, however, please see a doctor.

Oh, and welcome to ECF!

Hi rbrookv. Welcome to the ECF.

I'm not really a Headache person. But when I switch to Vaping from Smoking, I did. I wasn't Drinking enough Water. And my Sleep was kinda Wacked also. So No, you Aren't the Only One.

Drink a lot of Water/Juice. Eat Well. Try to get a Little Extra Exercise like walking around the Block after Dinner or at Lunch. And Stick with it.

Things get back to Normal for Me after about 3 weeks.

Everyday, i got a huge water bottle that's about 2qts that I take to work and I fill that up and drink at least half of it or more. If my headaches persist and don't get better within a few weeks I will be seeing my doctor.

I felt off from about week 2 to week 4 of vaping. Mild headaches, tired, etc. Went away completely in about 2 weeks.

More tobacco withdrawal than anything else would be my guess. Potentially too much nic too fast as well.

I would personally give it another week or two, but remember that your body absorbs nic from vaping slower than smoking. It can creep up on you....

I didn't get headaches when I switched to vaping. The only time that happens to me is if I vape too much nicotine, that's a classic symptom ( along with possibly dizziness that passes soon after I stop vaping for a few minutes.) vaping only gives you nicotine and not other tobacco alcoloids that cigerattes have that are addictive, so you may be vaping too much to compensate for what's missing. It takes a while to figure out what works for you. For me it was naturally extracted tobacco ejuice that satisfied my cravings, now I vape that and mint juices and all is well. Others do fine with regular juice when they find flavors they like. Also consider changing flavors in case that's the cause. So hard to say what it is for you, but try something else and don't accept headaches as normal!

Well like I said in previous reply if the headaches persist or get worse for another week I'll be calling my doctor or something.

Well a suggestion might be vape higher nicotine but vape less. Could just be too much to fast but if the symptoms persist do get a professional medical opinion like others have suggested. When I quit it was one physically painful experience that lasted about 2 weeks. I also got headaches from overdoing the vaping but I am not a doctor so this is just my personal experience.

Good Luck and Vape On Safely!

I tried the higher nic and it just made it much worse. I normally take about 4-5 drags of the 8mg nic and it keeps me satisfied for about an hour but I still get headaches, maybe I should tone it down to like 2 or 3 drags at a time and see if that does anything.

Headaches are a very very very very very very very very very very very very common side effect of quitting smoking...

Start taking 400mg of Vitamin C a day and make sure to drink plenty of water, this helps with the headaches via any quit method not just vaping..
