E-cigarette technology is very new - the first e-cigarettes only went on sale in China in 2006 - and to date there is only one clinical trial being carried out - in Auckland, New Zealand.
As such, anyone who is or is considering becoming an e-smoker should be aware of the relative lack of clinical knowledge that currently exists around both the long-term inhalation of propylene glycol (which is considered food-safe) and also the effects of nicotine itself, which are still subject to much debate and research.
So when reading on the websites of e-cigarette suppliers and manufacturers that e-smoking is a "safe-alternative", or words to that effect, please bear this in mind.
This forum is for anyone that is worried about the health aspects of e-smoking to post in.
