Hello everyone first of all let me thank you for this wonderful forum full of informative info and members!

So now a little about me, I am a 24 year old male and have been on analogs since I was 17 (last 3 and a half years 10-15 cigs a day). One day I was walking at the mall and saw an e-cig, I have been trying to quit for about a year and i found it to be a collosal endevour. Anyway I bought the e-cig, disposable and cheap! But to my amazement the little gadget kept my off of real cigs for 2 days, I was extremely impressed and happy. So I thought to myself if i can get this here (Guatemala) I want to know what our good friends from the North (USA) have, I thought those guys are the best in making the best things money can buy I bet they have some that really really work. And as it turns out I was correct. Reading through this forum I found out my safest bet would be a Provari so i got one, I also got an Atom Bomb from S&S mods, a HH 357 and a LOT of e-liquid (MOV and S&S liquid).

I also want to add that the most important factor that made my open my eyes to the dangers of analogs was that i was noticing that I wasn´t feeling with energy, i mean I´ve always been active I enjoyed sports walking, running, excersing in general and for some time now just the thought of walking to the park with my dogs or hanging out with friends or even getting "frisky" with my GF made my wonder can I right now? can I endure this party or can I endure walking to the park without feeling I am about to faint? It is just horrible I feel like an old person (no offence).

I guess my main question is if anyone felt with more energy after switching to e cigs?, As i said it is my main goal, just feeling with energy to start excercising or playing some sport again.

Again Thank you very much, and if anyone can reassure about the bits that i bought i would be grateful too.

Thank yoo very much guys! I really appreciate the interest. Thank you Hawkin and congratulations 1 month now WOW!, I admit that i feel very anxious. Yes I bought a Provari because, as oposite as it may sound, I don´t want to spend a huge amount of money if I know that there is a better option to begin with, also the factor that I live in Guatemala made the decision easier since I can´t be importing things that often, so the experimenting factor is out of the question (taxes shipping etc).

It may be a language difference, but I've always had the energy to do these things, but my body wasn't able to actually perform them. For example: I've always taken stairs 2 at a time. (Literally always, 1 step at a time does not feel right). When smoking I would get winded after 2 flights of stairs, now I don't. The energy to complete the task is the same, but my ability to use that energy has improved. Same with walking pace, I'm a fast walker. Now I am able to do the same walk without (nearly as much) adverse effect to my breathing and heart rate. I would feel my chest pounding after a brisk 15 minutes. Long story longer: My body doesn't fight against me trying to use it.

Exactly! you are totally right, I can´t find the words tho express my hapiness right now. Just the thought that I may feel like i used to feel and do the things i did puts a smile on my face. I can´t believe how cigarettes control our lives. I mean it makes you be away from people in reunions because you have to be smoking, you can´t go to places where you know you can´t smoke, you can´t do things you´ve always enjoy (if you liked sports). I just want to feel like a normal 24 year old. I don´t know if it is the way i smoke (long puffs, i go through a cigarette in 2-3 minutes!) that took a toll on me faster. At nights my chest feels sooo tight dificulty breathing and such.

It took ~18 years for me to feel like "a smoker", and another 2 to finally find ecigs and get off tobacco. 3 months in and there's a world of difference in how I feel. I hadn't even been able to yawn properly for ~1 year, you have no clue how good it felt to finally get a deep lung yawn.

Good luck, vaping can have rough moments but it definitely gets better. ECF is a great support group (so great I doubt I'd have been able to make the switch without), you are not alone, and any questions/concerns don't hesitate to ask.

I am not versed enough to explain it very well, but:

Cigarettes and tobacco have other addictive substances in them beyond just nicotine. These are natural and added.

They also have additives that change how effectively nicotine is absorbed (and it's addictive properties). Tobacco smoke is absorbed very quickly through the lungs, vapour is absorbed through the mucous membranes in mouth/sinuses. Lung absorption is MUCH faster than mucous, vapour can take 10-20 minutes to kick in. That first smoke in the morning is hard for some people to stop because of the time difference.

There's also the fact that a Provari is not a cigarette, the way it's held and used is very different, it takes time to get used to it. You have to fill a tank/carto/atomizer, and make sure you have spare batteries (ALWAYS have a backup battery, back up liquid, and backup atomizer/cartomizer. Always order more parts before you need them, they won't get stale). When you smoke and finish a pack you can go to the store, if your tank is empty or battery is drained you can't. This means you have to carry around more than a lighter.

There's also "social" pressures. Vaping here isn't very common, I've had friends mock my vaping. I know it's silly, but peer pressure is very real and can be difficult when you have to be outside with all the smokers.

Lastly, finding a device (atomizer/tank/cartomizer/etc) AND a flavour you can use all day can take some time. There may be a period of time before you find what satisfies you.

All in all, ecigs aren't cigarettes and have their own problems (leaks, filling, batteries, flavours) that have to be overcome. I, personally, made the decision to stop smoking the moment my first device and liquid arrived, and have mostly (4 smokes in 3 months, all due to drinking and "Why not just one?") stuck to it. The first week was the most difficult while I got used to the differences.

First, the energy came back without me noticing or expecting it. One day a couple months in, I just realized that things didn't tire me out as much and I didn't avoid activities because they sounded exhausting. It may have had as much to do with getting cig chemicals out of my brain as much as cig smoke out of my lungs.
For menthal I've used Mister E-Liquid for quite some time. They have a whole Ice line of juices that are really good. You can also request in the comment box of your order for them to Ice any of there other flavors that you ordered. The Best liquid that I have found in nearly four years of vaping is easily Ahlusion. They also offer menthal (or regular mint) in different strength options for each flavor. With or without menthal, they have taken the quality and flavor of eliquid to a whole new level in my opinion.

Gatag ..

Ive been analog free for 2 months now. Since i was introduced to vaping, I noticed changes, more energy not like when i was on analog's for 20 + years. I breathe alot better now and not only that i noticed a big change when i go on my Elliptical machine i can go to distance now and not really gasp for breath as all the toxics was in my system while in analogs. Im doing this for my health and especially for my family that depend on me. So have faith Brah. If i can do it anyone can ......
