Hello and welcome to the ECF group. Sorry I skiped to the end of this thread. I have severe COPD. I went to my lung doctor about 2 years ago and he said I would be carring a 02 bottle withing 5 years. Just this past month. (OMG it has been a month) Last checkup he said my lungs have never sounded so clear. My B/P was almost normal. I feel great 99% of the time. I've only had one
COPD attack since I started. I can walk all I want to and even try to jog just a little bit. I'm still a young man. Heck I trying out my second go at being 28 years old. (I'm 56, smoked for 45 of those years and before vaping I was using 2-3 packs a day.) No one will ever talk me out of vaping as long as I stay off the death sticks.) Good luck and many miles ahead of you.

Hooah1 I walked in from the parking lot to the office and before my heart would be a pumping and I would be way out of breath. today it was pumping just a bit fast and I could talk to someone without having to stop and breath. ...and when I laugh, I don't start to cough up a lung,,,,,,,

OMG, I totally can relate to this comment. I love to laugh and knew I had to quit analogs when I realized I couldn't laugh anymore without breaking out into a 2-3 minute coughing fit. I'm on 2 months now - but - I remember the first time since I quit when I had a long hearty laugh and didn't feel like I was going to pass out from coughing. Amazing feeling.

I was more tired the first couple days - but - I also just had a baby and attributed it to that. By the time the baby started sleeping longer, I was past the fatigue symptoms of nicotine with drawl and started noticing that I had WAY more energy than before.

Oh my gosh..I started smoking when I was a young teenager and quit about a year ago. There was then a death in my immediate family so instead of reaching for a pack of analogs I picked up an e-cig which has done me well since then. Point of the story is that every year when I was smoking analogs I would get bacterial bronchitis AT LEAST 2-3 times a year. It was torture. I'm still wary of the effect vaping has on my lungs seeing as theyre apparently sensitive to begin with, but I've been fine so far. Better than fine.. I can walk up a flight of stairs and not feel like I just scaled a mountain.

I feel so left out that most of you posting have been smoking for god know how many years running through a pack or 2 a day. I probably shouldnt be posting here since I only smoked 10 a day and was only smoking for a year. good thing I quit early. I was annoyed at the fact that I would spit everytime I took a puff of an analog and I hated those mornings where you would wake up gasping for air
