Health Insurance Cost Question??

My employer provided health insurance provider recently started charging an additional premium for Smokers (and/or tobacco users). I'm wondering if "vaping" is technically not smoking or using tobacco so that that additional premium could be avoided.

Anyone talked this issue yet? Any health ins gurus out there?

I consider myself a non smoker!! Don't know if they would see it that way or not. Does it say smoking or nicotine?

I believe on their lab work they check for nic.

At this point, I consider myself to be a non-smoker. However, I use nicotine, just like others using NRTs like gum or patches. If they aren't going to charge the individuals using these products extra, then I feel they should be treating me the same.

Yeah the lab work would definately pick up the nic, I guess it would help if I checked to see what they are checking for.
