Hi! Question. I've been vaping since October. Last year I had lost quite a bit of weight (only using exercise, no diet change), since I've started vaping I've notice I've gained it all back. No changes in diet. I've also noticed that I often feel bloated. I wonder if I'm allergic to the pg (just placed an order for some juice with more vg and less nic mg). Until a few weeks ago I had been getting headaches that would last all day, just enough to bother me. My vision had also been blurry. I don't know whether to attribute these issues to the vaping, or to my health issues. I am diabetic, asthmatic, and am borderline hypertensive. My main concern is the frequent bloated feeling. I drink a lot of fluids, as being diabetic causes me to do so. Any opinion would be appreciated. :)

Where you least expect it....
Welcome to the forum. Some of the changes you noted (headaches) could be attributed to the fact that your body is slowing repairing the damage that was caused by smoking.

There are quite a few members on this forum that are in the same situation. You might want to consider looking through the, "Health, Safety, and Vaping" sub-forum for more information.

Health, Safety and Vaping

As for your blurry vision. I highly suggest visiting your doctor for a blood test (eg blood sugar, A1C) to see if everything is ok.

It's not a problem at all. Thanks for taking the time to visit the forum.

For better results. You can use the search function within the sub-forum and enter "diabetes" and it should show every thread related to the subject.

to ecf xfacadex. Nice to meet you and so glad that you are here and have some answers to your questions. So sorry you are having these issues. Might even make you feel better if you did check with your doctor since you have several problems. I so hope it is not related to vaping because of all the real benefits. Good luck to you and please let us know how you are doing. Although ecf is the most reliable place for vaping information, it is also filled with many people that really care. Good thoughts coming your way. :)

xfacadex, I'm not a doctor, but I have not seen the set of symptoms you describe from vaping in the almost three years I've been on ECF. With your medical issues, I suggest you stop or minimize vaping immediately and get yourself to a doctor as quickly as you reasonably can.

Best of luck with it and let us know how it goes.

I went to see my doctor this past week. He was glad I was vaping instead of smoking. This is the first time I see this doc, I usually see his nurse practitioner who is familiar with me. The doc seemed to be more instated if I had a mental issue. Ha. Feels most of my pains may be brought on by depression he was trying to get me with. Funny. I work in the mental health field, everyone has situational depression at some point. Yeah, I think I'll try to see the nurse practitioner again. :) I realize some symptoms are health related, but what concerns me is the bloated feeling/swelling.

I usually vape 100%VG but last night I ran out of liquid so vaped some liquid with PG and couldn't even do one puff without my asthma flaring up. I don't know if it takes time for someone to become PG tolerant or if PG is just bad for asthmatics. Then again I've heard PG is in asthma inhalers? About the weight, I gained a few pounds when I first quit smoking but then my weight went back to normal - you just need to remember food tastes better once you go off the analogs and adjust for it.

Visiting the doctor wouldn't hurt either.
