Hi :)

I've been vaping with 808 "cig style" set ups since I quit smoking about a year ago. (I have green smart living & Volt)

I am SO READY to move on to eGo! The cost of cartos for the 808's is pretty comparable to analogs, plus all those lil cartos floating around freaks me out now that my baby is a rambunctious toddler... (I keep all vaping stuff away from the kids, but going through 10 cartos a week, some get left in pockets or my purse)

I've had my eye on the 1100mAh batt & the rebuildable vision clearomizers.

I don't think I have any specific questions... I'm still on information-overload from my research.
But I'm excited about this next step in my vaping & really wanted to share! :)

Any advice/tips are welcome ;)

If you ever decided to make the jump to mods, just wait for that information overload. :) Congratulations though, eGo style batteries are pretty nice. I would recommend getting an eGo-c Twist, a Vision Spinner, or some other rebranded version. The voltage control will make vaping much more consistant.

I JUST switched from my K808 cig-a-like, which was/is wonderful and upgraded to a Smoktech Winder (VV 650 mAh) battery with some iClear 16 tanks. What a difference in customazable features, flavor, and vapor production. You will be really happy with your change. A 650 mAh lasts me all day easily with moderate vaping. Those toddlers are CRAZY curious so be careful not to leave your ecig stuff laying around. My two-year-old went straight for some ejuice bottles yesterday and I totally freaked out. I have to put everything totally away now so he doesn't get his little mits on them! Good luck on your upgrade!

Thank you both for your support & advice :)

I keep MOST of my vaping stuff in a small personal lock box (because of the kids) but those dang cartos are what I keep loosing track of :/ which is why I think having just 2 or 3 clearomizers will help cut down my anxiety about the wee ones choking or getting nic poisoning =0

Any advice on the twists/variable volt batts? I understand how they work, but don't really understand why variable volts is so appealing...

Vapor is generated when your battery heats the coil. The amount the battery heats the coils is the wattage. Different resistances will require different voltages to attain the same wattage. With a variable battery you get a consistent vape for the entire battery. With a normal battery as you use it the voltage it outputs drops which leads to less vapor as the battery drains.

Variable batteries get you a more consistent vape through regulating the voltage and the ability to change voltage output based on the resistance of the delivery system (carto, clearomzier, etc...).

Thank you both for your support & advice :)

EGo stole my heart!!!!!!

I friggin LOVE this thing!! :D I didn't go VariableV, but I'm still so so happy with my new set up!! I have a ce5 clearo with a 900mah batt, so far it's been lasting all day- haven't drained the batt yet...

I'm so pleased! But also happy that, despite advice to the contrary, I did not get an eGo from the get, go. I was so comfortable with my KR808 & I needed that year with a familiar cig-a-like to really kick the habit. :)

Now that I feel like a real "vaper" & not a "smoker that vapes" I think I'm coming out of my shell & will be experimenting more ;) (my wish-list is already over $100 long... Lol)

2 advice for you.

1. Get backup to a backup. (2 batteries what ever you choose. 4 cleros. I suggest EVOD's. a few replacement heating coils).
2. Only get small bottles of juice until you find the flavor/nic level you enjoy. Order more when you find it.

Sample set : fasttech.com/products/0/10004766/1368502-ego-evod-6-in-1-rechargeable-900mah-electronic
EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer: fasttech.com/products/0/10004691/1363501-evod-electronic-cigarettes-round-mouth-atomizer-15
EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Atomizer Heating Core (5-Pack) : fasttech.com/product/1387600

Above totals under 30 bucks and you will be sailing smooth.

Good luck.

I've got (a few) Vision spinner knockoffs from a local B&M and love'em. Depending on what throat hit I want it's just a quick turn away. The Iclear 16s are wonderfull but I burn juice like a house fire. My all day tank is a ViVi Mini Nova Dual Coil. Love it for the nice warm vape but hitting more then 3 times in a row gives a burnt taste. Picked up the vision V.Tox this morning (visions evod type tank). Love that for chain vaping.

There are many, many options for ego stye delivery systems. If funds permit, try them all. You'll fall in love with oneof them. If not, start with the iclear16 and decide what is lacking. Someone here will point you in the right direction. ECF certainly helped me :vapor:
