I've only been vaping for 2.5 days, and yes, I get a bit of heartburn after I've been hitting on it a good bit. My wife is trying to substitute vaping for smoking, started trying yesterday, and asked me this evening if heartburn was normal. I believe it is, but should go away once your body is used to the vapor. I read on another forum that chewing regular gum can remedy the heartburn, haven't tried it though.

nicotine relaxes the esophageal sphincter at the entrance to the stomach. This will occasionally allow stomach acids to escape into the esophagus and cause heartburn.

On top of that, Nicotine can stimulate the stomach to produce more acids and while its not AS MUCH of a problem with vapor as it is smoke, you have reduced saliva production which normally would help to keep the acid down and also has a mild bicarbonate(antacid) property to it, as well.
