Heat capacity?

Just got my 1st roll of SS316L wire and want to build a coil for my Hadaly, i noticed on Steam Engine that the heat capacity is in the red with 53 mj/k (26g 0.6ohm 3mmID 8wraps)

I understand what heat capacity means, I just don't really get what it means to be in the red, possibly dangerous for using with a mech?

.6Ω will give you about 29W @ 4.2v
That gives you 221 heat flux that's only in green/tan fire

Swap between coil wrapping & battery drain tabs

It seems you took the heat capacity number and entered that into the box that gave you a red fire. Instead enter your Ω (.6) on the battery drain page to see how many watts you'll get.

I believe that's supposed to indicate that there will be a lot of heating/cooling lag with the coil.

Exactly. That's heat capacity.
Heat flux (indicated by flame color) OTOH estimates how warm the vape will be.
