Hello al, I haven't been in this thread in a while and see there is something up with the gandalf. The first time I ordered gandalf was on 8/20 and I just ordered more on 9/28. I noticed a difference in color immediately but came to the conclusion that it would change while steeping. Well my girlfriend had some yesterday and she insists that it taste different. I told her that it probably needs to steep longer but then this morning I come here and find this. So was the first batch I got was the "new" gandalf and the second batch I got the "old" gandalf?

Not here,lol. I asked in the othe HHV thead in the ejuice forum but some people was acting like I was crazy because I was asking about the color difference before my gf tasted it. They never said one word about gandygate. Now I'm intersted to see what the real gandalf taste like. I very much like the "new" gandalf so I guess I'll have to go back and order some of that too. Thanks for the help.
I let my gandy steep and have spent a few days with it. I thought I would post how much I like it. Now I find out I've been vaping an imposter! lol I'll be ordering more of this Serendipity in a bigger bottle along with the real gandolf which I haven't tried yet. I didn't care for dark horse but will give it another try in a few days. I still have huntsman and a sampler pack of non tobaccos to try as well.

September 26th was the day it switched. So if you ordered 9/26, it probably mixed/shipped no earlier than the 28th which means you received Gandalf...barely. So if you were basing your Gandalf decision on folks who had been reviewing Gandalf for the prior six weeks or so, they were likely reviewing Serendipity. All that said, anyone new to HHV will most certainly want to sample both of them anyway. There are differences in the two. Not dramatic but definitely noticeable. I'd say enjoy your Gandalf and put Serendipity on your wish list. They are two different flavors to be certain.
Well I tried the true gandalf today and I enjoy it. Now I get the tobacco part of it. With the Serendipity I get a chocolate with some banana. No chocolate or banana with the real gandolf. No wonder why people thought we were nuts a few pages back,lol.
Adam, just curious. With the resounding success of extending the extraction time using the Gandy tobacco (and thus, producing Serendipity), is it accurate to say that you have (or will) be experimenting with other tobacco extractions in a similar fashion?
I'm guessing by the reactions thus far the we should stick with the tobacco line the way it is. Serendipity was born from a mistake, plain and simple. The last thing we want to do is cause confusion, panic or anger. We want to keep the Army happy. Part of that is offering as much consistency as is possible given the nature of NETs.
