I just started DIY and have read a ton about it. I have read that you do not want to put your juice in the microwave because the heat does something to the nic. The way that I have been mixing is I combine everything and bottle it up without nic, this way when I am ready to consume a bottle I will put it into a 10 ML bottle and the amount of nic I desire for that day. I will also add PG if I am not using nic for the day.

My question is what is the thought of tossing VG in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds when I mix in the flavoring? I found that it mixes up easier and seeps faster.

For my nic mixes I have bottles of PG pre-made made at 0, 1, 3, 6, and 12 and just add it right to the travel bottle then top it off with my pre-made flavor mix.

I understand the comment about overheating. I use my pryex (sp) beaker and only heat it for about 6 seconds, at 10 seconds the VG starts to boil. At 6 seconds it is warm but not hot.

Thanks to all for the answers, I am going to continue heating VG in the microwave since it is what I have available, I may some day get a ultrasonic cleaner but not right now. The idea of a crock pot in interesting, I am going to have to try this, now I have to explain to the wife why I took her crock pot into my office.
