so after 17 years of smoking cigarettes.. damn, it's a good feeling to not smoke them anymore.

not having to make trips to the gas station to buy a new pack.
not having to spend craploads of money on cigs.
not having the smell of smoke on your clothes or in your breath.
not having to worry about your girlfriend's reaction to smoke breath when you kiss.
not stinking up the room.
not having to empty a gross filled up ashtray with ash spilling out.
not worrying what other people think about you when u smell of smoke and get into the train or elevator.
not having to stand outside in the cold/hot/rain to light up.

changed to an e-cig and havent touched a normal cig since. i feel so much better. i can run farther and cycle longer without running out of breath.

just started some DIY with the kanthal wire and wick and rebuilding cores. eventually going to try 0 mg juices and see whether i can wean off smoking altogether. just wish i never started in the first place..

thanks everyone!

it has been roughly 3 months since i've completely quit normal cigs. thankfully, i have no cravings to go back to them. even though it is so easy to just buy a pack when i'm at the convenience store or filling up at the gas station, i keep reminding myself how long i've been off normal cigs, and telling myself if i start again, i'm just back to square one.

i'm also very grateful to have considerate friends; i hang around a few who are still smoking normal cigs. they do their best not to smoke in front of me.

Welcome and Good Luck. My wife let's me vape in the house. Something that was strictly forbidden while smoking.

thank you! to be honest, she didn't forbid smoking in the house, but i could tell she didnt like it. well, problem solved now!

You need to get your friends away from the dark side as well. :)

haha yes, you are right. it is tough to break an old habit, but i continue to try to get them to make the switch. the friend who introduced me to e-cigs has made some major lifestyle changes himself; completely stopped smoking normal cigs, massively cut down his alcohol intake, exercising a lot and changing his diet. i think if he can do it, anyone can.

2 thumbs up. Same here :)

thanks man!
