Since I can't post in other threads yet, I have a question about an Ohm reading I just got on my newly purchased Multimeter.

When touching the leads together, I was getting readings that were bouncing between 0.3 and 0.4. Okay...so, I then got a reading from the iGo-W tank and was getting a bouncing reading of 1.1 and 1.0. It seemed to favor the 0.3 and 1.0 more so I will go with a 0.7.

My questions are, is this a normal reading? Do I divide this 0.7 in half, or is it already giving half a reading due to the iGo-W having two negative posts and one positive?

The battery I am using is an Efest 800mAh 3.7V.

Thanks to all!

Hello and welcome to ECF. I have an octopus RDA and use a multimeter to check my builds. The multimeter won't be 0, it has some resistance in the wires. You can try to zero your meter by touching the probes and hitting a button.

Next if your reading a bouncing signal from what I read is your connections to you RDA need to be tighter or more solid. Another option is your coil is touching the base or something.

Whatever you measure minus the multimeter reading is your coil ohms.

How's the coil work is what matters :)

Welcome to the forum, Michael! Good grief, for a short-time vaper, you have quite a collection! :) Sorry I can't help you with your ohm question, as I'm a simple "fill tank and pop it on the eGo" type vaper, but I do love your enthusiasm.

Since we're a motley collection of all kinds of vapers here, no doubt you'll soon be hearing from the amps-and-ohms crowd with answers!

Vape happy! :vapor:  :vapor:

Interesting..from other places (youtube) of how I have learned to read the resistance..it always starts with a multimeter displaying a 1.

It was probably my shaky hands making the readings bounce around..I just drank some coffee..lol. I will check to make sure I do not have any shortages..too. So I take it that 0.7 Ohms are pretty safe...others typically have 0.3-0.4 from what I have seen; and totally stay away from 0.2, lol.
