Hello, my name is Eryk and I am new to the forum. It's nice to meet you all.

I have joined in order to ask a few questions from more experienced e-cig users. I am currently using my 5th ever vape, which is a smok Koopor Primus, with 3 LG HG2 3000mAh batteries and a smok Baby Beast with a 0.35ohm RBA.

The total battery capacity is 9000mAh, yet I seem to have to recharge my batteries quite often. I am usually using 40 Watts on the 0.35 coil, taking 3s pulls on average, yet I have to charge my batteries every day, sometimes every day and a half. Would this be normal for my set-up? (Batteries were bought on GearBest, so it is very possible that they are fake, however their dimensions and weight are within the ranges specified by LG.)

Also, I have tried updating the firmware on the Koopor Primus, but the smok update tool crashes each time I try to use it. Is it possible to install some sort of custom software on the mod?

Apologies if there are any blatantly obvious answers to my questions. I am still learning.

Thanks!

Eryk.

hi and welcome,
How many ml per day are you vaping?
What is the battery cut off voltage of the Smok?
What battery charger are you using to charge the LGs?

Cheers

I got through around 4ml of liquid per day. I cannot tell you what the cut off voltage is as I cannot find it, and I'm using the Intellicharger i4.

Thanks.

Most batteries will take between 300 and 500 charges before they begin to degrade.
You seem to be getting a very short life from those cells.
Personally, I would order another set or two from a trusted vendor. (Sky blue section at the bottom of the chart)

Thank you kindly for sharing this information, it is very helpful! Would you have any other recommended batteries that I could purchase, considering that I have read that the HG2 batteries are highly sought after and often counterfeited?

Thank you.

I only run single battery regulated or mech devices.
Last year I ran the Samsung 25Rs and was very happy with them .
I went with the 30Qs this year because I tend to stay under 40 watts and the extra 500mAh only added a few cents onto the price.
Based on your usage i would suggest any of the listed 20A-25A, 2500mAh or greater cells.

If you purchase your batteries from any of the trusted vendors listed, you are certain to receive a genuine product.

Cheers

Welcome to the forum. Suspect counterfeit HG2s. (I recently got 4 of them, 2 tested ~1600mAh the other 2 ~2200mAh, working on getting a refund) I love the OPUS BT-C3100 charger and it's ability to test and also refresh batteries.

I use my Smok GX2/4 in 2 batt mode with both LG HE4s and LG HG2s I got later, and can vape all day 1.75-2sec hits ~350 a day 60-75w. HG2s do last a bit longer than the HE4s of course.

I would not recommend a 2100mAh battery like HD2Cs based on your wanting longer power. Having tried the 30Qs myself but similar specs as the HG2s.
