Hi all, new to the forum and need some help with a hana mod dna 30 box mod.

Had my hana mod for 7 months and the thing quit charging Via USB. This really sucks as I have to unscrew the thing to change batteries out. Tried to contact HANA mods as it was still under warranty and they would not even reply to my emails.

CUSTOMER SERVICE #1

So I set about fixing the thing myself. I thought maybe the usb port was stuffed so i bought a new usb charging chip from evolve which is exactly the same as the one used in the hana mod.

Switch the chips and still no love.

Red light comes on but nothing on the display indicting that the thing is charging. Does not charge.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi, have you tried a new USB cord by chance? Sometimes The Old Cords Get Loose After Awhile And Won't Correctly contact the port any more. This is a common problem. It starts to feel a little loose into the port and won't charge correctly. To rule that out, I would try a different cord. I'm sure by trouble shooting and eliminatin all possibllites we can figure out the issue. I'd start by trying a new charger usb cord. Hope this helps. Let us know. Best wishes.

Thanks for the replies.

Tried about 5 usb cords. Problem is with the unit. Cord plugs in and the charge light turns red which it is supposed to do. Trouble is on the dna chip lcd display there should be an icon with a battery charging animation, this does not appear.

No point hounding Hana mods as they are obviously not interested hence why I purchased another usb charging chip from evolve and am trying to fix it myself.
