You however MUST OWN THE mod and want it anodized.

Oh well, I wasn't even going to ask someone to do that, but I am not apposed to the idea. I certainly could use the extra participants. It's pretty much a shoe-in for who's going to win since I've got so few contestants that can actually follow instructions. :)

Fisty, I attempted today to get the nebula for your IHY. Tell me what you think.. it's certainly rather...... immature lookiing. Like something a small child would do, but it really is hard to do colors and such.. this is like water paints. so....

It's not just about the participants... it's letting more people know about the wonderful work you do, and getting more traffic to your thread and/or Facebook page!!

Isn't that why most people hold a Contest in the 1st place?? :D

well, yeah that's one of the reasons. The other is I LOVE giving away stuff.. Makes me feel good! Heck it's why I do anodizing in the first place. I love the responses I get from folks when they see how beautiful their mod looks after I've worked some magic on it. I mean, you don't think I'm doing it for money do you? Everyone will tell you, I'm pretty low priced, so I'm certainly not making much money. Especially with all the water and gloves I gotta buy! Whooey! I just went to the store and bought 6 2.5 Gallon jugs of distilled and that will only last me 1.5 weeks.

I tried taking apart a lavatube and I did succeed in getting it apart, but BACK TOGETHER is a completely different story. Just isn't going to happen. but if you feel you can get it back together, I'll anodize the tube I've got here for ya for a small cost! :) Probably say $15!

I think the problem with people following the rules is the share option. I know that on my Iphone, I could not find a share option. So after I posted on FB, I went over to my PC to share. Crossing my fingers I win on the either the REO grand or the Bolt. The Reo would look sweet. Keep up the good work and I will be sure to pass off all of your info.

Yeah I know it's hard, especially on a smartphone, but sharing is integral to me getting as much exposure as I can. If folks have to, you can go to facebook on your web browser in your phone and share that way.

OK, I was specifically asked to NOT post this until I got permission to do so because the customer wanted to see it first. He's approved it and given me permission to post pictures of the mod.

I am proud to present the first ever Darwin anodized to resemble WOOD!

Trying to enter but having a hard time figuering out FB.It didn't leave my post.:lol:Oh well.

Which one are you trying to enter?

Wow love it.What dose something like that run?

Altogether with polishing and engraving and such, it ran $85, but I knew I was going to have to retry and retry to get a good style. I spent a lot more time than just the 2 attempts to get this anywhere close.
I also had this one:

and this one

I'm always willing to try something new, but if it's going to be difficult, it's going to be a bit more expensive.

Happy TurkeyDay Kenom!!!

Kick booty work as usual bro!!!

Thanks. We had a great turkey day.

Day before thanksgiving, I decided to work on Fisty's Ihybrid. We had a slight mis-communication on what she wanted since I was unable to do the nebula without lots of practice. Anyway, here is what I ORIGINALLY did, but it was wrong.

Still very pretty burgundy fade on teh bottom, but she wanted a marble fade on the entire thing. Luckily Fisty is a magnificent designer and was able to quickly slap together a render of exactly what she wanted. I wish all customers had the ability to do that, because it's so hard to convey a design in words alone. AAAnyway, here is what she indicated that she wanted.

So, here is what I came up with for the final try. Just waiting on her approval.

Luckily she got back to me in time to change it without having to restrip and reanodize it. Just bleach and redye.

I love it! :toast:

Thanks Fisty, although I will say, in reality, it is a bit darker than what your seeing. Never has a photo accurately represented the color of an anodized tube. I don't know how many times folks have fallen in love with a picture, then they get it in person and are COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. Well, I'm sure everyone above you that has had their units anodized can speak up and validate that statement.

This photo does not look as good as my iHybrid does in real life...
