Lots going on over there for sure. Love the gold anodizing that's gonna be done on those Illuminati!

Speaking of gold, here is the Prototype Avenger mod that I anodized for Edz mods

And also the first attempt at the Darwin
We decided to try again because the color wasn't just right even though we did try multiple shades.

Oh, I did want to share this nice little tidbit for those that are looking at getting their Ihybrids done. The alloy of the Ihybrid is a 7075 alloy which is a combination of aluminum and zinc. The zinc cannot be anodized so I have to put the tubes into a Desmut to remove any impurities in the alloy. This leaves the aluminum white instead of shiny. I'll show the difference between 6061 aluminum before it goes into the bath, and 7075!

Here is a 6061 Darwin polished up and ready to go into the bath. It just needs to be degreased and she's ready.

Very shiny as you can see. Now lets compare that to the Ihybrid tubes being done right now. They were desmutted and then left to dry. What you see is before it gets degreased and into the bath just like the darwin.

Looks like someone hit it with some white out. So since there is a big difference in the base material, when dyes are put on top, the ihybrid is incapable of reflecting the light as well and you get more of a muted color than you would on the Darwin.
Here is what those tubes looked like before the desmut

I just found out that only the older Ihybrids utilize this alloy, so those that are newer are all nice and 6061 which means yay for polishing!

Sweet I was gonna ask about 6061 grade alum cause that's what the SB is made from. Yay guess that means a nice and anodized SB sometime down the road for me:):)

Awesome, the thread needs lots of love! :)

Next on my list of things I'm getting is a BAM eventually... once the customer decides on a style!

I find it incredibly funny once I explain to folks all the endless possibilities for customization on their units, they take forever to decide because there are so many choices. I mean, if you could have any logo or design put onto your APV what would you choose?
