The thing I like about these is they are incredibly light and incredibly small. I can take this down to a little over 6cm Not that I can necessarily find a battery for it that small, but it's just incredibly light. It weighs in at an incredible 1.5 oz. which is lighter than a trustfire 18650 that weighs 1.8 oz. The sidewalls on this can get as thin as .6mm and that's threaded!

Here is the avenger I anodized already

That is just a small sample of what I can do with masking. Now imagine, I've done it silver, mask the eyes of spiderman, then I dye it black, mask the outside of the eyes and the webbing, bleach it, dye it red, mask off the rest of spidermans head, and voila, I've got a perfect spiderman head in multiple colors. Now I mask the red of the mask, bleach it and dye it blue for a spidermans head on blue background. I do all this with printed off vinyl stickers. (Additional fee for printing costs from local vinyl shop of $15 per "image"

I then remove all the masked sections, polish it up and it's done! As long as there are few "blends" in all that, I can get pretty creative.

After reading the BS Ken posted the other night prepping others for "drama"...I'd like to point something out.

Ken didn't know the Ihybrid existed until I contacted him about anodizing. I believe he had about 40 posts at the time, and this thread had 2-3 pages. Within a few days he was a regular in the IHybrid thread. His subsequent posts were obviously premeditated in order to build a good reputation. That would be fine, but the platform wasn't his. It appears he's had some success from riding the coattails of Faceless. However....It brings his ethics into question. I know of at least one other person that feels exactly the same way.

His and faceless's business with the right partnership have the potential to complement each other. The situation really has become quite boring and all parties involved should agree to disagree and go about their own way....just my .02

Kenom should contact Faceless about a partnership....I think that's a great idea!

Sarcasm aside,I agree to disagree.

Dude Kenom!! Stopping in to say whats up!

I was thinking about doing a Confederate Flag on my Vmod too but... Well the wife uses it way more than I do.

SO, I wanted to ask if you could do a Humming bird?? Might prove difficult but I know my wife will flip for that lol.

Plus I'm trying to score some brownie points cause daddy needs a new APV lol.

I've got him on mute now, so anything he says is not even visible to me. I'm done responding to him, although I do want to say, I was doing anodizing before Ihy's and I do other mods other than Ihy's. Matter of fact, I've done MORE of the others than I have Ihy's. Primarily because face makes some beautiful LE's that are already anodized and offers single colored anodized tubes additional. So, riding on someones coattails is rather ludicrous! I happen to think the Ihy is a very good APV and have one on order for myself. I am fairly new to the vaping community and have no clue what a lot of "mods" are.

How about this?

or this?

I can do them in completely different colors than the mod (purple swirl or whatever) on a base color of whatever. as a matter of fact, the first one with the wings being separate parts (not joined to teh body) I can do each of those strips a completely different color!

These are all options too!

Black and silver marbled VMOD XL skin and cone. She likes the pink humming bird picture for the design but she wants it in red.

Not 100% sure these parts are aluminium but they scratched pretty easy. The thing about "easy" it's a relative turm. I could scratch almost anything fairly easy

Dunno if you want to quote me here of in PM, or if you want to wait for Tat's stuff first to make sure its aluminium or w/e dude. I hope it is. The wife is super stoked lol. Also dunno if it effects the price but the sleave and cone are already colored so you'll have to remove that first before you anodize. Also there are air holes and threads in the cone that can't be altered or it will effect the performance.

Easy enough to do the bird in red. I could do it in any color really. (cept yellows aren't easy to get bright...) So, let me get this straight so there's no confusion. She wants the vmod in black clear marble with a masked hummingbird in red. Correct? If it is, there's no problem in doing it. I can mask any holes or threads easily enough. I prefer to deal with quotes in PM mainly because each unit is unique and if one person sees a given price for something, they think that's written in stone for what they want. There are a few given's that will be written in stone and that's :
Polishing with no major blemishes $10 (if I have to polish out a bunch of really deep dings or scratches, it's more time at the polisher)
Masking in vinyl per image printed $15
Laser engraving (burns the anodized layer white) $20

Oh and removing the existing anodizing is just a process of throwing it in a bucket of lye! LMAO. If I have to polish it up afterwards that's a different story of course. After it comes out of the lye, it's matte in appearance.

That is totally doable! 1 time cost of $15 for the vinyl on top of the price already quoted you for the other one. We'll progress if I can remove the rubberized crap off the other one.

Hahah, here I was thinking to myself. If anyone really wants to identify for sure if their mod is aluminum, there is a scientific method to determinings. :) It's kind of ridiculous to have to go to this length, but it would be pretty doggone accurate. Take a glass and fill it with water in a graduated cylinder and submerge the mod in the liquid and observe the change in volume based on before/after. This will give you it's mass. Now weight the thing and this will tell you very quickly what the item is based on it's mass/weight.

Yes it's kinda silly, but it WOULD tell you for sure what the metal is! LMAO!

Ok on another note, I did polish up half of a Darwin so that everyone can see what the difference is between matte and polished. This will show you what the final finish will look like when I'm done and how easy it is to affect the color finish on the final product.
