Hm... I received my PV today... but is it normal to hear a ' crackling ' sound? @_@

Edit: Is it normal to see the threaded part on the center piece? No matter what I do, I can't screw it all the way in. ( mini protank 2 )

When are you hearing the sound?

If you have juice in the tank, the tank attached to the battery, and you're firing the button, yes, you will be able to hear the juice being heated on the coil. If you watch a few YouTube reviews by people such as GrimmGreen, for example, they will often let the audience hear this sound. :)

Yep. :)

I've never had a juice taste like soap, so I'm not sure how to advise. Did you let the wicks soak in the juice a bit?

If the juices are fresh, as in just made, they might improve with some aging/maturing-- this is especially true of mixed flavors (e.g. caramel apple as opposed to simply apple). Think of it kind of like chili or a good spaghetti sauce: often better leftover than just off the stove. Shake your juices periodically, especially before using.

Yeah it taste like soap-ish and bitter-ish? I'm not sure how to explain.

I did let the wick soak in juice for at least 15m though.

I guess I'll have to let it steep. @_@

Hm... so I have 4 juice that I ordered from Vape Dojo. ( orange dreambar, berries and cream, vanilla custard, & lychee )

All except orange dreambar taste like... soap.

Does anyone know why?

As madqatter stated some juices need to be steeped esp if they're fresh. Contact the Vendor and ask if they need steeping- they'll know.

I did ask - and the response I got was:

" Just like you may like and dislike certain foods... you may just not like this particular juice " and " Our juices should taste great without steeping first, but any juice will taste stronger and more complex if steeped. "

I'm not impressed with their response and sorry to hear they were of little/ no help. Usually juices that require steeping have a perfumey odor to them. Try steeping in a dark cupboard but every a.m. shake the bottle, open it uip and gently allow the "old" air to evacuate. Cap up and place back in cupboard. I sometimes use this quick method for steeping in an emergency:
Before putting the juice away I let it sit once for 30 mins in hot tap water.
Afterwards shake bottle, open and evacuate air, recap and place in cupboard.
Next a.m. shake, open evacuate air and recap.
Do this for 3 days and then try vaping it.

Miss Roxy: I've just been reading the Mt Baker thread and a number of people have mentioned that their unsteeped (fresh, not aged) juices tasted of soap or detergent. Steeping (aging, maturing) helped those, so that may be the right answer. :thumb:

Will do. Thank you!
