Welcome. I think the Ego is a good start. That is how I started but I would definitely recommend an extra battery. DiscountVapers is actually a great vendor and whom I get most of my supplies from. However there might be other options for a full starter kit. I just upgraded to a much more expensive variable voltage mod (buzz pro) but was running the Ego Startdusts (Vision eGo CE4+ Clearomizer DV Edition) on there and now on the buzz pro. They only hold 1.6ml of liquid as opposed to 3-7 the tanks can hold but what I like is that I purchased a few of them and can switch between different flavors of juice as I figure out what I like.

I know I've seen some Ego based starter kits that come with Smoktech (or similar) 3.5ml tanks. To me this would be the way to go. Reliability and interchangeabilitiy of the Ego batteries + the convenience of a DCT.

Having a hard time finding links though at the moment...

Ah, here's one: Ego Batts, Smoktech tanks, + PASSTHRU to boot!

Passthru allows you to still smoke even while charging.

Update!!! I went with this one KGO kit1100mAh by SLB. The only thing I don't think I will like is using cartridges. Does anyone know if I can use a clearomizer or just something that I can see thru to know when it's full or getting empty? I just can't figure out what accessories can or could be mixed like atomizers, cartos and those kinds of things. Any help will be appreciated.

I also would like to thank everyone again for helping me in the decision making process. You guys are AWESOME!!!

Clearomizers will work just fine with that. I recommend the Vision Clearomizers (aka Stardust) as the best type of clearomizer I've ever used. Any accessory that says it is ego compatible, or 510 compatible will screw right on to your device. Nobody uses cartridges anymore, they just drip into the atty directly through a drip tip if they are using an atomizer. Cartomizers with or with out tanks and clearomizers have pretty much completely replaced using cartridges on an atty.

Whatever you get, get a manual battery. It will last longer between charges. I would suggest getting two batteries, so while ones charging, you are using the other. The button on a manual took me all of 5 seconds to get used to, so don't worry too much about that. Happy Vaping!

I would definitely agree with this advice.

Also, what I usually tell people is this:
I've tried a few brands, and my favorite is Kingpin: http://www.kingpincigs.com. I'm always impressed by their product selection and quality and their customer service is good, too.
Like many companies, they have starter kits, which are made for beginners. They also have some pages with general information about e cigarettes that you may find helpful. ECF also has a lot of really great resources on e cigarettes, too!

Best of luck!

I am no expert -have been using a kr808d-1 from v2 but it seems to me that a 510 thread of some type would be the way to go for a new person. I wish I had gone that route to start. There are just so many more options to try and the newer models just keep coming. Seems like there is a learning process and its easier to start with more options. You will want to upgrade so prepare for it. Course if money is no option go with provari.

Just remember that at 3.7 volts and a 2.0 ohm single coil carto, you're going to be vaping at 6.8 watts, just barely enough to get proper flavor on some, but not all juices. If those are dual coils, your vape will be very poor. You would be far better off with 1.5 ohm single coil cartos, or 1.7 at most.

If you haven't heard this before: a good range for wattage per coil is about 8-10. Watts = volts x volts / resistance in ohms, so 3.7 x 3.7 / 2 ohms = 6.8.

3.7 x 3.7 / 1.7 = 8.05 watts. Better.

3.7 x 3.7 / 1.5 = 9.12. Right in a pretty good range for a lot of juices.

Dual coils, cut those numbers in half, and prepare for a very poor vape.

Lastly, get a variable voltage device as soon as you possibly can. A very cheap, slightly limited, but still quite good way to go will be the Joyetech eGo Twist when it finally arrives in stores. Variable from 3.3 to 4.8 volts, and about $29. 4.8 volts will wake up just about any juice, with the right resistance atomizer.

That is what I am most confused about is the carto delimma. I cannot figure out if its single coil or dual that is better and the ohms really confuse me. Idk if it helps but all of my juices are 50/50 from ecblend. The boges I bought are lr510 cartos 2.0 + 2.0 if that helps at all. Thanks.

The 2.0 will give you a good all around vape. That's what I use on my Kgo,I've tried the 1.7 and on somethings it was good and others it seemed to hot (almost burnt). The 2 is good middle of the road, 3.0 seemed a little to cool and not much vape.Mostly I use Boge 2.0 single coil and get good vapor, throat hit and long battery life.
