Hello Everybody

Hey Guy and Gals,

I am new to all of this and thought I would give a general hello along with some history. I don't know if this is an "alright" thing to do but I guess I will soon find out.

I was sick of smoking but I love to smoke. It is relaxing and fun and I just dig it. I wanted to quit but after several attempts with patches (which actually worked pretty damn well) I decided to give this whole e-cig thing a shot.

I tried out an njoy King and thought that it was decent. If the battery life would have been better I would have gone through a couple. So I started looking around at the usual "beginner" choices like blu and other cig-a-likes. I was about to jump on the Halo G6 starter kit, but they were sold out at the time. So I headed to YouTube to do a little more digging.

Good move.

I found GrimmGreen and PBusardo and just started watching. Long story short I ended up going to a local shop and scooping up a Vision Spinner, EVOD, 2 LR atomizers, and 6 sample size juices.

Things are going really well thus far. I am not off analogs entirely, but I will be soon. I am down from a 1-1.5 packs a day to about 6 total. So about a 70-80% drop. Feel pretty good about it. I am blessed to have some good shops around and Mister-e-liquid is about a 7 minute drive.

So that is my introduction. Hello.

Statistically speaking if the patches worked pretty well as you say, your chances with a good ecig are very strong. Depending on the data sources the rate of quitting with ecig vs patches is (by memory of rates I've seen quoted, forgive any errors please) around 3-5 times higher. If you're experience is like many I think you will find in short order that you no longer enjoy the flavor of the analogs and will eventually just set them aside. About a month after fully switching to ecigs I tried one when my mod broke on a trip to Vegas (alchohol was involved) and could hardly choke down a few puffs. The taste was so repulsive I held out until I could drive across town to Pink Spot Vapors in the morning, they hooked me up with a new mod and I haven't even thought about picking a stinky since.

Welcome! Sounds like you picked up some great equipment from your local store! I love my spinner set up more than I could have ever imagined. I still need to get my hands on an EVOD tank, but I'm being a girl and am waiting until I find a purple one to match my spinner lmao. It is great that you have a shop so close by. The closest one to me is about an hour away, which isn't too bad, but I wish they were closer.

Congrats on how far you have already cut back. Like you, I am not completely off analogs, but I have cut my habit by over half as well and am still tapering down! Keep up the awesome work and see you around!

Thank you for sharing your story and a warm welcome to Vaping Nirvana. Congrats on the analog drop. Keep doing exactly what you're doing. Read, YouTube, research the many options, post, reply, and very soon, vaping will take over your life, there'll be no looking back, and you're suddently a vaper, and, perhaps, an unexpected hobbyist and enthusiast. Or maybe not. Anyway, congrats, Power up and Vape On!

I have to say that the response from this community is nothing short of amazing. Usually you get the "high and mighty" responses when you are new, or you just kinda get put in the corner.

Just awesome.

Many of you are spot on with the taste component. I look forward to the juice more and more and enjoy the analogs less and less. Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement.

When I would try the patches, I felt like I was quitting. It was an active thing that I would catch myself thinking about. A lot. This is a different animal though, I just don't even think about the fact that I am not smoking the ol chemical sticks. I just drip some drops and sit back and enjoy myself.

My throat is still getting used to it though. I am drinking TONS of water, around 7 liters a day. To be fair I am taking medication that dehydrates me and I work in a hot factory for about 10 hours a day... in jeans.... and steel toes. So I figure that it will work itself out.

Thanks again for the kind words and greetings!

I have the G6 and although I do like it I am already eyeing a Spinner. I have to echo what everyone else has said, analogs will never be the same after you spend time vaping. Whenever I cave and have one my first thought is 'ugh, juice tastes sooo much better!'.

Congratulations on the start of vaping!
