Hello Everyone, Couple of Questions

Hi everyone,

New to the forum and new to vaping. Been lurking for the last week or so trying to imerse myself in the culture. Very interesting stuff here and this is deffinately the best forum I have stumbled across since I have started.

Did have a couple of questions though. First, I have been vaping for about a month now. I am using a Cig 2 0 starter kit I bought at the local gas station and it does pretty well. I tried switching about a year ago but was turned off by the lack of quality and product available. I see now that this has changed tremendously since then.

In my limited experiance with vaping I have had no luck with atomizers. I believe this has to do with the equipment I was using. My curent PV uses cartomizers. I enjoy these much better. I am playing around with refilling the ones that I have and so far this is working out for me also.

I have found that I am ready to move on to something with a better battery life. My current kit is a single battery analog look alike, I believe it is called a k08 or something like that. I have to charge it twice a day, getting a little old. I see that most people on this forum really enjoy the Ego or Riva type devices. My problem is that I would rather avoid atomizers. I do not have a dedicated shop within 40 miles of me and have to do most everything over the internet.

So, on to my question, I have seen the Pure XL from Purecigs.com. It a 510 format that uses cartomizers and doubles as a pass through while charging. The problem is I cannot find many reviews on it. Just wondering if anyone out there has any experiance with this device or advice on similar devices that I should be looking at. I am not looking to spend serious money, just want to switch over from smoking, and not looking for a whole lot of upkeep, too busy with all of lifes other curve balls. I appreciate all the other advice I have read on this forum and the sharing of knowledge. I have learned much in the few short days I have been reading here.

Here is what I can share .... I too used what I call a cigarette type e-cig. And was charging twice, three times a day.

What I have now is AWESOME!!! It is called a kGo 1100mah. You can get the kits from hoosierecigsupply.com for $44.00. My battery now lasts me about a day/day and a half, depending upon how much I'm vaping. It has 510 threads, and works great with cartos (IMO).

By the way, this hoosierecigsupply.com is loacted near Indy. Greensburg, IN. So if you order off his website you may very well only have to wait, 1 to 2 days to get it once shipped. I order from him on a Monday and usually have my stuff by Wednesday. Great customer service!

Good luck and congrats on not smoking analogs anymore!!

I think both the eGo and the Riva are threaded to fit 510 cartos and attys. I can't say much about the model you wanted a review on, but if you are willing to get a fattbatt PV like the eGo/Riva/Kgo/Epower then all you would need are some cartos that fit 510 PVs which are the most common ones to get.

You can get a good deal on them here Crystal Clear Vaping , it's 15 for 20 bucks and comes with a drip tip too as a gift. You're vaping experience will be much better in my opinion if you use a PV like the ones mentioned, and upkeep is very little because a charge can get you a full day most likely, and filling cartos is something you are already used to.

Ego/Riva starter kits tend to come with atomizers, but they will work with cartomizers as well. Anything with a 510 threading will work on Ego/Riva batteries.

I understqand exactly what your going through. I wish I was more knowledgable. I have read and read reviews and comments on ust about every PV made, and one thing is a common denominator. Most are derived from eGo and 510 thread, so good luck. There are so many different places, at least you have a store close and can go in and physically see what your getting.

Good Luck again.

Yeah, my next purchase will probably be at a store where I can physically interat with the product. I have been burned a couple of times buying on the internet. I was truly suprised by how much the industry has grown in the last year and a half since I messed around with my last kit. Now I stare at reviews for hours then sit there with a blank stare trying to assimilate every thing.
