Good Morning and Hello!

I recently purchased a VOLT X2 battery and some carts from SI. I really enjoy the vape and this particular model...but I believe something is wrong with my battery. I let it charge overnight twice on 2 different PC's...and I cannot get the device to smoke. I've read the blue LED should turn off when charging is complete...but after leaving overnight i wake up and it's still blue.

Does anyone have any experience on why this would be happening? Is my battery defective? I was really enjoying it but now it's kind of useless since it won't charge :(

Thank you everyone!!!

Never leave them charging overnight. They can get overcharged. Just plug them in when you have three hours that you can keep an eye on them and the light will go out in three hours, almost like clockwork. Take them off the charger immediately.

The reason I left it plugged in was the blue light never turned off...which makes me think either the charger is broken or the battery is not holding the charge.

I've had X2s go 12 hours plus when charging until the light goes out. I was only using a .5 amp charger, and the 1.5 amp from SI will charge more quickly. You might try a 1.5-2.0 amp wall plug, and maybe use as a passthru for a day or so. That should get you a good charge.

I'm currently using the USB-Mini plug that was provided with the battery itself and plugging it into a PC to get the charge. Would you suggest a try at plugging the cable they provided into a cell-phone wall charger that I have? I'm not sure what amps the cable/PC provide so maybe going cable/wall plug will get me more power.

I've had the same problem with a cheap charger that came with my Vamo. It just kept charging and the light never went off.

I wish SI would not even sell those .5 amp adapters, they charge too slowly and can't even be used for pass-throughs.

Computer ports can have the same problem AND you can hurt the computer port -- there are 3 specs for USB. One is data, which is too low-amp for decent charging and supplies less than your ecigs want to pull. One is data + charging, I suspect that is 1.5 amps. One is charge-only, I think higher.

Many computers come with a data-only and a data+charge port, if you pick the wrong one you get too slow charging and passthroughs won't work.

HOWEVER, assuming you've made sure your X2 is actually turned on when you try to vape it, and it won't charge, there's one more thing to try if you want to -- it happens to many batteries and knowing about it can save you a hassle.

Sometimes you get a carto or clearo with a post a little too long and it pushes the post in the top of the battery down just a smidgen too far to make good contact, for either charging or vaping. It is easily fixed by taking a toothpick or something of similar size and lifting the post in the battery up a little bit all around (or at least on 2 opposite sides.) The post connection is a little flexible and you can turn what looks like a dead battery back into normal by doing this, I seem to have to do it about once every 2 months on one battery or another.
