I’m not new to vaping. Have been doing it for a few years but I started out using the V2 reusable e-cig with the V2 menthol flavor. I am still using the same V2 reusable batteries but have switched over to VG/PG juice & I’m finding the juice is getting used up a lot faster than the PG juice I used to use & it’s draining the battery very quickly. Do I need to change to a different set-up? I don’t want anything too expensive that I’m going to have to spend a ton of money on for replacement tanks & stuff. I included a picture of what I’m using now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say you're due for an upgrade. Could be you're just vaping a little more than you used too, maybe the device is actually not holding a charge as well as it used to... You'd probly be pretty happy with a nautilus mini tank or nautilus 2 and a variable wattage device that will do 20 watts or more. Doesn't have to be fancy. Start looking around and save a few bucks up til you find something that catches your eye...

Welcome to ECF. It may be time/you may be happy if you do a little upgrading. Many folks like the pico 25 as a "quitting mod" although some of the tanks on it tend to be on the airier side.

I, like many folks, quit using a Nautilus 2, it's a nice MTL tank with varied coil options. It can also be purchased as a kit with a nice battery that should be good for all day use as the "Aspire Zelos kit." They make a TC and non-TC version, you don't necessarily need the temperature control version, as the N2 tank doesn't make any temperature capable coils, they are all kanthal, and the non-TC version is cheaper. You could also look around online to see what appeals to you.

Vapecrawler.com can be helpful for finding vendors with lower prices (both USA vendors, and China vendors). If you purchase from China it will be less expensive, but it does usually take longer in shipping, depending on where you are located.

Hope you enjoy your stay here.

Recommending a set up can be so subjective. It sounds like your gonna vape more long term, and the tank itself is really all about a more personal choice.

I smoke mouth to lung, but find the baby beast to be the most satisfying. I tried the mouth to lung tanks, HATED them. The baby beast is supposed to be more for the direct to lung smokers.

As far as the mod itself goes, again, thats more of a personal choice. What features do you want, Myself, I LOVE the smok alien tc. Just feels great in the hand, its a smaller mod so it does not feel like I am have a brick in my hand, and love the fire button.

Honestly, I would take a trip to your local vape shop, and look at a few, hold them in your hand. I know the Smok Aliens tend to get some crap, but imho, if they were so horrible, they would not sell like they do, and mine has been rock solid. Manufactures are cranking out mods and tanks so fast, and most come from china, its a crap shoot on how long your will last. I have seen just as many issues with eleaf and other brands as I have with smoke products.

Just find a mod that fits your budget, find the features you want, then pull the trigger. To debate the this brand vs that brand is the the same ol tired argument as ford vs chevy. Its in all how well you take care of it. You may get a great one, you may get a bad one. Best of luck!!

Hi and welcome. You're probably nearing the end of the useful life of your V2 batteries anyway, which is why they won't stay charged long any more. I second the recommendation for a Nautilus tank, and practically anything will fire it, they usually don't see the upside of 20 watts. Take a look at a Pico. It's small and inexpensive, will easily power a Nauti (with tons to spare) and best of all it's a removable battery type so, when you wear out the battery you are using, you can replace the battery instead of the whole thing.

I went from V2 to an Innokin T18 and love it. The nice thing about it is that it's so simple. Since you already are your own juice, you're going to save a ton of money so a little experimentation up front is a good investment.

I saw a review on the T18. It looks pretty good. I work from home so I vape pretty much off & on all day. I’m just curious how long the tank/coil lasts before you have to replace it. How long does the battery last? How long does it take to charge it?? Should I get 2 batteries?

I have a T18 that I use when I'm out/in the car and it's a pretty good device - very easy to use. It's difficult to say how long the coils last as I don't use it that much and I would say that it doesn't seem to last very long between charges - for that reason, if you're going to use it pretty much all the time, I'd recommend getting two so you have one to use while the other is charging. I'd say it takes a couple of hours to charge. Hope this helps.

It really depends on your vaping habits, and how long a single battery will last you. However, the need for backups in case something happens to your vape is really important as well. So, I would get two setups so you can rotate them, but also in case anything happens to one. The ability to have a second battery charged and ready for when you need it is probably a good option for you to have, as well.

Best of luck,

Anna

I saw that in one of your other posts +1 for Vapecrawler. Good link.
