Hey there, I'm Chad from Greensburg. I want to let you all know that If I have extras , like fluid, etc.... In emergencies, we here in Indiana can mail something first class and typically it will get there the next day. So If you have ejuice emergency or attys, post and we can help eachother.

I use 801 and 510's. No modding yet, but hope to in the future.

Great idea Chad. We should do some basic introductions.

My name is J and I live near Kokomo, but work in Blackford county. I play the part of engineer at work and have some leatherworking and electronics skills.

I try to keep stocked with 510 hardware as I accidently became a supplier for friends and family.

I also mix and again supply those previously mentioned friends and family.

If anyone in this community has an issue, I hope we can share talents and help each other out in the Hoosier tradition.

If anyone here is familiar with ceramics, I do have some questions.

Have Fun!

Hey there. I'm Jason. I live on the southeast side of Indianapolis. I use 510 attys with my devices. I currently own standard 510 batteries (that I don't use anymore), a homemade box mod, and the Bartleby. I have also owned the Silver Bullet and the Protege. Both had reasons for why I didn't care for them so I sold them. I am currently an unemployed graphic design. I am 26 years old with a wife and 2 sons (ages 3 and 6 months).

Nice to meet everyone.

hey jason, what kinds of mods? what do you want for the 510 batteries? I'm scared to get into the modding. would love to have someting to use for long battery life but I would probably blow my face off. Maybe I can have you make me one. I'm just down the interstate from you on I74.

by the way, Im 40. Disabled combat veteran from Iraq. Married for 18 years with two boys 17 and 16. Lovin life.

I'm sorry...not interested in selling or trading for the batteries...I keep them just in case something happens to my mods. I currently just use 14500 batteries in box mods. I wouldn't mind making a few to give away but I would want some more practice making them first. I have only made two and they are pretty sloppy on the inside. I don't have a lot of practice soldering yet. Its a lot harder than it looks, especially when you don't have steady hands.

lol. I hear ya. I did order some connectors for 510 and two 3.7v 14500 batteries and a battery box and a button to make them. How about when they arrive, I send it to you and you can use my stuff as a guinna pig. lol. I TRUST YOU. lol.
No problems about the batteries, I just look for them where I can to have back ups.
Great meeting you all.

I have been looking into mixing my own liquids. It's a lot cheaper. From my calculations you can make your own for what looks like $.28-$.30 a ml depending on what and where you buy supplies from. Throw in the fact that you can make custom flavors with custom flavor strengths, and I'm really starting to think that mixing is the way to go.

Yeah I might be able to do that. Let me know when they get in and I'll see if what I can do.

ya i have tinkered with my own. I currently have :

50ml of unflavored nicotine ejuice with VG 36mg
30ml of unflavored nicotine ejuice with PG 36mg
200ml of PG
120ml of VG
cinnamon flavoring from lorann
watermelon flavoring from lorann
1 pint of everclear PGA

I tried to make some watermelon and it just didn't turn out right at all. Not sure what I did, but if you want to try something, I have quite abit of the basics if you want to try without buying a bunch. Let me know if I have anything you might need.
Im open to any advice when it comes to mixing also.
I have alot of already flavored ejuice from vendors on the way . I am liking the flavoring which I thought i would only like tobacco taste. I surprise myself everyday.

When I first started vaping I didn't think that I would like the flavorings but after trying a few I started realizing that I do like them.

If I start mixing my own I think I am going to buy like 250ml 100mg unflavored and cut it down 25mg all at the same time. A lot of people are scared of 100mg liquid because its dangerous. I figure with some gloves and long sleeves and being really careful I can cut down all 250ml at one time and then I don't have to worry about it. Just have a ton of unflavored that I can transfer to 10ml bottles and add the flavorings I want at a later time.

I've already made on box mod, but did it completely from scratch. Parts from here and there and some highly modified to make them fit. I like it, but have The Precious coming and some new high drain batteries, so I might be getting rid of it at some point.

For mixing, I really only ALWAYS use a face shield and gloves if the nic is above 150mg. 100mg on my hands is not an issue, but in my eye is a huge deal.

Have a large number of 3ml pipettes that I do not use as much as I do my syringes, so I could spare some of them. Graduated at 0.5ml and meter out between 20-22 drops per ml depending on viscosity.

Lorann's watermelon needs something else to make it work. I used some Lorann's rasberry and got a good flavor from it.

I have a question about mixing for you. I have seen that 10%-20% flavoring should be used. Is this correct. I am just asking because if you want to mix 30ml then that is a whole dram of Larann's flavoring.

How much flavoring to do you usually add?

The Lorann's usually ended up going to 30% to get the flavor level I liked. One Loranns worked at 20%, but that was Anise.

That's one of the reasons I went to FA & TPA flavors.

I mix my VG with PG and don't need to thin unless the VG goes over 30%. The only time I use PGA is with tobacco flavors (I make a Cuba Cigar that is fantastic) and in my Pina Colada. Distilled water is my usual thinning agent for VG.

Hoosier what do you want to know about ceramics? I used to dabble a little in it. Micki

I'm wondering about making a crucible cup for atomizers. I'm working on some heat curves to get a better coil, but I don't know enough about ceramics for the cup. Thicknesses, heat tolerances, mold tolerances. Just the basics I guess.
