Ok... so I am a total noob and just experienced my first dee dee dee moment. Kinda funny in a way I guess. I feel pretty dumb right now, but hey, thought I would share anyway.

So, I have been vaping now just a little over 2 weeks and have been using cartomizers. I have like 10 different flavors of juice and I switch around flavors several times a day so I had a carto dedicated to each flavor. Ok.. so no big deal right? Right. I have felt like I have been doing everything aces and have been very pleased with my success so far. I haven't burned one out, getting great vapor, filling them like a pro, keeping 'em moist and working and best of all haven't had an analog since day 1. Fantastic. This is a cake walk.

Well, I have noticed (especially like the last 4 days or so) that although I am still getting great vapor, the taste is gone and I didn't feel like I was getting much nic. So I have been vaping like a freak, non-stop because I am just not feeling it. Was thinking "man, I'm gonna have to up the nic in the juices or something".

Anyway, all this time (over 2 weeks, remember?...) I have been using the same carto (for each particular flavor) and I am also thinking "Wow! I must have gotten a really great batch of cartos because these things have been working an epic amount of time!" Score! I thought they only lasted a few days before "going bad".

Well, this evening, along comes my son and he proceeds to put a different flavor of juice in the carto that I had hooked up at the time. WTF! All this time I have been so dilligent keeping the flavors seperate! Grrrr....

So I grab a brand new carto, fill it up and what??? Holy mocha!!! The flavor is back! The TH is back! And yes indeed... I even feel the nic again. HOORAY!

So the moral of my story (that you all probably already knew) is this: When in doubt, change it out! It's not just about the loss of vapor that should be the key that something is not performing quite right. I am sure this tip has been posted many, many times but somehow I either missed it or didn't remember.

So that's my  story. Hope you can appreciate this moment of enlightenment from a noob's experience. :toast:

Thanks! And congrats on being over the 1 year mark, I look forward to celebrating that anniversary! At this point every day feels like a major accomplishment. And yeah, like you I have learned everything from this forum as Oregon does not seem to have a lot of vapers. We are kinda like Bigfoot... lots of rumors that we actually exist, but rarely spotted in the wild. LOL! Seriously... I do not know, nor have I even seen another vaper here!

Yes, sometimes it's better to break open a new one. Also, I don't know if you've hit this or not, but the vast majority of people go through a few days of complete flavor loss. Food will taste fine but vapor won't. My only advice it to keep on vaping and drink tons of water. It'll happen around the 3 week to month mark. Stinks but it's your buds working themselves out. If/when it hits, hang in there and don't panic.

Hmmmm..........I'm doing the same thing, even marking the cartomizer with the flavor that's in it. I did this partly because some of my jiuces were not so good so I figured I'd put the juices up for a couple weeks and just held on to the cartomizer for each one until I try them again.

So I'm guessing this is not a good idea, and that it's fine to go from one juice to another using the same cartomizer?
It just doesn't seem right to me, but like others, I get all my info from the forum.

I love fresh cartos! Just threw a bunch away myself. I had about 10 originals that I just threw out, too.

Just curious... did you try cleaning your used cartos or did you just decide to pitch 'em? I decided to try cleaning all of my used ones last night and am interested to see how they will perform now. Something new to try I guess. It's not like the cartos are mega expensive, but hey if I can get another good round out of $15 worth of cartos, it may be worth it if they still work good after cleaning. Just wondering if the average person bothers cleaning them (there certainly are enough videos on youtube on the subject) or typically throws them out?
