Why am I going through so much juice?

It will amuse you to know that the only way I could make a coil would be if I poked a snake with a stick. :D

yeah, I am pretty good with mechanical things, and I just want to see what all the fuss of the Genesis is about. It certainly looks very cool!

It's kind of inevitable that you will get juice on your lips now and then. There isn't a lot of QC with these devices. I use carto tanks and I know one brand of carto I use is about to burn out because I will start getting juice up into the drip tip. It happens, but shouldn't happen regularly.

QC? Sorry, I'm not completely up on the lingo yet. :)

Ms. Robin is one of those snobby Provari users, so what does she know about those pedestrian eGos anyway?

EDIT: But she is right about the twist, get a twist if you go eGo. A great stepping stone into the VV mod world!

All I can say is that better be a joke little kitty cat. I got three Provari's and loads of others. Don't ever count the twist out and DON'T ever say anything about My lady Robino1.

It's make me laugh everytime I hear someone say that a 7ml bottle is equal to a carton of analogs. Heck I can vape through 7ml in a day. And only 5 or 6 different flavors.. Makes my heart skip a beat. I got to have at least 3 loaded devices + 2 different flavors.(usually carto//tanks) and then a small pack of around 15-20 other flavors just to get through the day. Yea I may not use every one of them but at least their there if I want to. Seems that everytime I let someone vape my HHV line my tank gets empty really quick.

I've been having to refill my carto like crazy... Everything I can find says that with a carto, you should be getting like 200 puffs per fill. I would estimate that I'm getting less than 50. It's kind of becoming a pain. I'm using an Aqua Vapor Classic, which is like a cigarette, so I'm guessing it's not some super machine. My ADV that this has been happening with is 80pg/20vg, 18mg nic. Is it time to upgrade or am I doing something wrong? I've heard the better the mods, the more juice you will use. I'm still pretty new to vaping, but I've tried slowly filling it, like 3 drops at a time, then let it sit for a few minutes and repeating that until it starts coming out the bottom of the carto. I'm getting great vapor and flavor production but, it just doesn't last!

Welcome Roxstar, I'm new as well but jumped in with both feet. Bloog recently came out with a 650 mAh/clearomizer set-up that is pretty amazing. Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | Bloog E-Cigs | Bloog MaxxFusion E-Cigarettes (wow that's a long link) :mail:
I did the cartomizers at first and still do on occasion, but I'm having a blast making my own e-juice. I too go through a LOT. I started simple and bought VG and LorAnn candy flavors at Hobby Lobby. Within days I had ordered PG and nicotine on-line from MadVapes. Now I have enough crap to open a shop :) I found an "e-juice," application for my iphone that makes mixing the ratios a breeze and it's so much cheaper than buying bottles of flavors you may or may not like. But I'm like that, some people have no desire to play mad scientist.

Also, not that you asked but just a noob observation, I boil my cartos before they get that burnt taste, let them dry out and pour new juice in. But with the clearomizer it's so much less hassle - drop em in some EverClear, rinse, EverClear, rinse, and it's like new.

The only leaking I've noticed is once in a while I get some juice on my lips... Is this normal?

Juice on the lips with a carto means your carto is most likely flooded and there is just too much juice for the filler material to hold. If you are using a "thin" juice (high PG) then use cartos with 1 hold punched. I use Boba's Bounty as an ADV which is 100% VG making it super thick so I use 2 hole punched cartos. If you use a 2 hole carto with thin liquid it will flood and result in juice on the lips.

Something I found that works for filling cartos faster is I take a toothpick, lightly wet one end and then gently slip that tip in to the air hole. Then I "dump" some fluid in, wait a few and then repeat. It goes much faster that way. Just my .02¢. Get a few ready and you're good to go! Make it a nightly routine ;) .

Why does that work? I don't understand the mechanics of it. Please clarify. :)

No problem. There's filler and an air hole. If you just dump fluid in there without plugging the hole, the fluid will leak out through the air-way much more quickly than it will be absorbed. By plugging the hole, you're plugging the path of least resistance. This won't make it absorb faster, it'll just allow for less drip-wait-drip-wait. :)

I use toothpicks too. It makes filling the carto much easier without the fear of flooding it.

Roxstar, have you looked at bottom feeders? With those, you just slap your carto on and fill the onboard bottle with liquid (just pour it in, no syringe necc'y) squeeze the bottle every few hits to keep your carto wet.

It took me about a month of vaping (and a couple if hundred bucks) before I found them. I love that they are very pocket (or purse in your case) friendly, no hassle and the batteries last most of the day or all day depending on what ya get, so does the juice. So you don't need to carry backups.

I am glad I was pointed in the bottom feeder direction when I asked similar questions. Have never looked back...

I appreciate that it might be annoying for some people to keep refilling cartos... tbh it didn't bother me as I'm used to rolling my own ciggies.

Are you using because of the nicotine or because of habit? Could it be that your nicotine level is too low and not hitting the spot? Maybe get a 10ml bottle of 24mg and see if that helps? It might save you a bit of money in the meantime.

I would also add that if you're still new to vaping, you'll still be getting cravings as you come off the other chemicals they put in tobacco. You're doing great! Keep it up!x

NAILED IT! So I've been burning lots of juice as I said before, I figured it was just because I'm a noob and I liked it (which I do ;) ) but after reading what Rachy_B wrote I got to wondering. I'd mixed up a batch of juicy peach a couple days ago which smelled so good I didn't have the patience to let it steep, so I added more nicotine, put it in hot water for a while, shook the hell out of it and BAM! Not only yummy, but the need to puff-puff-puff-puff-puff went down to puff-puff. Super cool. Thanks for the insight.

To the OP - I'm sorry I am late to the game here but I was wondering where in Nebraska you lived. If you live close to Omaha or Lincoln there are stores in both cities that sell only e-cig and juice. I have never been to the Omaha store but the guys in the Lincoln store rock! Good luck to you.

Clear on the other side of the state where it's still 2003, lol. Including me there are 2 vapers in this town. We both order everything online. She's more experienced than me and said the closest store is like Denver, maybe FoCo.

Sorry you mean plug the "punched" hole or the bottom air hole where it screws into the mod?
