Hello all!

Just to introduce myself - I am 25, from Bulgaria. Been smoking for 9 years. Latest 4 years 1.5-2 packs per day (1pack=20cigs) of super lights (0.7mg), which is about $3.73/day.

I am now facing financial collapse, thus willing to try saving some money by converting to e-cigs.

Don't get me wrong here - I love smoking, I NEED to smoke - my daily basis is quite stressful and urgent.

I've been reading through all the forums on the web, but am still confused to what expenses should I be expecting. An atty and a batt per month, at worse? Or even more?

I really like what I read about the 510 - throat hit, vapor, cart capacity. I think of buying from ruyan direct:

1 manual batt + 1 auto black
2x atty
1x pcc black
10x pack black empty carts round
car-usb adapter
mains-usb adapter
2x 30ml 24mg juice

total $82.9 incl. shipping

Is this gonna hold me for a tryout? A month? Also - what kind of flavor should I get so the transit is narrow? Should I loose the auto battery? I am really ...... with buttons everywhere around me. How much battery recharges would I need per day. And cart refills?

I think this is best for me cause:
- somewhat close to normal cigarette's dimensions (112mm)
- always have puter beside me (USB)
- travel frequently by accident (pcc)
- need my "shot" daily (throat hit)
- i'm a geek (black/blue led e-cig - yay!)

That's a good start. If you can afford one, get a passthrough ("always have a puter beside me (USB)" - it allows you to use a usb port, has an inline battery hooked to a cable. You might want to pick up an extra atomizer for that. And you can use it in a car if you have a 1amp rated car plug with a usb port. Saves on batteries.

That amount of juice should do. I find Marlboro flavor universally good - tobacco base with a slight sweet note of vanilla or coconut - according to my tastebuds, ymmv. RY4 is popular but a love/hate juice. Ruyandir just reformulated their Cappuccino - awaiting arrival myself so can't comment on it. The other tobacco flavors are "hllton - choc. note' 'Kent - vanilla note' 'Flue cured - cherry note' again imho... ymmv. Their straight vanilla and chocolate make for a smoother vape. Flat tip carts are nice but they're out of them, last I checked. You shouldn't need extra cartridges and should get a blank set with your kit.

Another question...

I have read that a normal 510 cart should take 12-15 drops. How many puffs is that? I am a little concerned about having to fill/top up too often. It's just too much of a hassle for me. Say, for example, I get out in the morning with the PCC with 2 full carts, an atty and a bat, plus one complete 510.

So that's 3 carts 2 attys and 2 batts with the PCC. Will this hold me for a day? Also the carts should be OK with the plastic caps on them, right?

hm... i dont think it will hold you for a day ... u will take some 15-20 good drags out of a cart .. so get urself a bottle of liquid with you

Well, if it's too much of a hassle then perhaps ecigs aren't for you. OR you could go with a Janty Stick where the cartridges are larger but if you're smoking 2 packs a day now you'll either have to top off some or carry more cartridges. carrying even a 3ml bottle and topping off is about as much of a hassle of opening a pack of cigarettes But, your choice.

Kent, UK is extremely overpriced compared to China. Not to mention warranty (1 vs 6 months).

Ok. I don't know the exchange rates. Just giving you options. As far as refilling. If you have 2 carts - actually three because you can have one on the extra atomizer space - or just put a cart in that space in the PCC, then another one on the one you're using. You could get through the day with those without having to refill. Still, I'd carry a 10ml bottle (or a smaller 3ml bottle if space is a problem) along just in case.

Good on the above. On flavors - it is so subjective to be of much help. About the best you can do is when you taste something you like and you see someone posting who gets the same taste as you, there's a good chance if they have another 'favorite' that you may like that too.

That said, with a few exceptions it seems marlboro is a consistent flavor throughout most vendors in my expeience. Moreso than other flavors - RY4 has very divergent 'versions'. Most coffees and cappuccinos are very different, imo. The tobacco based 'hilton', 'kent', 'flue cured' from china seems fairly consistent. My favorite happens to be Janty RY4 and some people really hate it ;-) I also like their cappuccino which is probably less hated. lol. For menthol - I've tried about 8 and find Janty's Newport the closest to Salem lights. Johnson creek's old Tennesee Cure is very good juice - their new stuff is not the same. Most vanillas and chocolates are rather bland. Not big on fruit flavors - coconut being an exception.

refill15 times a day?- yup that's about right- I also love smoking but- there come a time when it ain't what it was at 25 at 41 I needed to quit- vaping takes some work but it's worth it to me

or you could just fill up 15 carts and take them with you- put them in an empty cig box your used to carrying that.

My intent is to mix each flavor with the mint and PG in 41.10/13.70/45.20 % (thanks Hack-o-matic). Which should give me some good throat hit and about 10mg strength for about 30+ days. If it does - it's gonna be break even day 20.

Any advises for beginners? Pre-use cleaning, break in, anything.
