Please let me know if the below approach to deciding on the mod is fine (from amongst the recommendations)
What I have (or should be having soon!)
1. 3 tanks - cascade, zenith, Uwell crown
2. 2 LG batteries
3. External charger
Considering the above, 80W seems plenty enough considering the various coils and their resp wattages. Taking into account that I got 2 batteries, I am veering towards a single battery external mod that supports variable wattage up to 80W. That should cover all bases wrt the items I intend to procure. So from all the recommendations you guys have made, can I just pick out the one that satisfies the above and be done with it (for now of course!!!!!). I am thinking that anything more than one would be an overkill for where I want to be. Or am I missing anything glaring?
You're doing fine and thinking correctly..in fact you're thinking too much. Just do it..whatever you decide...
My Wismec RX 200 goes up to 250 watts (after firmware update) but I have never used it at over 40 watts, usually 35 watts, and I tend to vape 1ohm coils if drop in - on most of my devices, 35 to 50 watts if using .5 ohm ceramic....5 to 1ohm if I roll my own kanthal (I tend to not use TC..but ss last long and works with straight watt output)
Unless you're a real cloud fiend I doubt you'll ever vape over 80 watts.. I typically vape Aerotanks at 1 ohm and no more than 15.5 watts.
So a single 18650 battery mod that goes up to 75 or 80 watts is sufficient and as you surmise- overkill.
Worth mentioning (to me anyway) are MTL vs DL... I don't know anybody who vapes vaping juice DL.
I'm sure many vapers will argue that one tank is better than others for MTL and so on. I chuckle.
If a tank or RDA make vapor you can inhale directly into your lungs (Animal!) or like most folks, into your mouth then wherever...it's a good tank.
As a matter of fact I don't even inhale nicotine juice anymore...Playing with vapor in your mouth lets the nicotine get absorbed through the mucus membranes in your mouth.
No need to inhale..unless there's a need to

or worry about anything other than whether the tank leaks or not, uses inexpensive pre-made coils that you can use with other tanks or not, and has plentiful vapor production or not.
Batteries? Two for each one battery mod you use..one to use, one to use while the other charges..or to have as a spare..(don't ever carry batteries in your pocket unless you carry them in a battery box or condom)
The rest just comes with time...
