Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I understand all that has been said and I will decide on the mod very soon. I guess, like all of you have unanimously said, its good to get started with a mod and then go from there. Too much theory does not achieve much. So I am going to go through your recommendations and make a choice soon. Thanks again and I will post back once I decide.

@Baditude
What is the mod you use that you mention? Just curious

@HazyShades
Your second para on MTL vs DL and (Animal!) etc was a little OHT (over head transmission!!). To be honest, on my Cascade I dont even see how I can do MTL. I guess I always end up inhaling now, dont know if that is good or bad or different from what you are talking about!

On the zenith tank, given that it is MTL, will 70/30 do well? All my juices are 70 VG and I would hate to have to buy 50/50 for this tank :(
I know 70vg would be fine with the .8 and new plexus coil. Not sure about the 1.2 coil, I won't be using that coil. Tight mtl is not my cup of tea but do like rl. If you like the 1.2 coil and find the juice too thick a few drops of distilled water will work and not affect flavor too much. I'm thinking the 70vg will work for that coil too though. The zenith coils are pretty efficient at wicking for low wattage vaping.

Just set the af and wattage to where you like them and don't worry about labeling the draw. Just relax and vape.:)

I'll summarize;
a.)You want a good reliable device and a spare reliable device.
b.)You want a good battery for each of your two reliable devices and spare batteries for each (note, one spare battery for both reliable devices will do..you're not going to be using both at the same time..or are you?)
c.) You want more than one tank so you can readily change flavors and in case one fails...you also want spare coilheads
d.) It's good to research before you buy and good to know what you're getting into..but one must be careful to not get stuck in the research. Hands on learning works best.
e.) Cleanliness is next to Godliness

--------------
MTL=Mouth to lung. First you suck the vapor into your mouth
then you inhale the vapor from your mouth into your lungs.
Most smokers and vapers do this.
Some crazies inhale directly into their lungs (then cough their guts up)

While your lungs have the largest ingestion area per square millimeter
and are therefore more efficient at getting nicotine (or whatever..) into your bloodstream
you can get nicotine into your bloodstream without ever inhaling vapor into your lungs
because the mucus membranes in your mouth (as in sublingual vitamin B-12) absorb the nicotine in the vapor.

Some folks opine that some tanks are better than others at producing the type of vapor they inhale into their lungs via the mouth to lung route.
There is no reason for this to go over your pointy head, mate.
If you are inhaling directly from whichever tank in the same way you breathe and it works for you then more power to you...you animal you :D

Thanks for the clarification, I do not want to go with the 1.2 anyway, so I guess I am covered there.
Silly question incoming - what is af?
And no more labeling... !

@HazyShades
Thanks sire for that spoon feed. All in-head transmission now. And will bear in mind all that you have said. And somehow I just inhale - dont know how or why this started but animal it is :D

Why not keep it simple?

1) Get a solid dual/triple battery mod as your main device. You'll LOVE the enhanced runtime. And if you vape so very much that you need to carry extra batteries around, what does it matter if it's one or two?

2) Keep the Ego AiO as your backup device, always have a spare set of at least 5 coils at home.

3) try getting Sony VTC6 batteries. They pack more milliamp hours than other models, and their continuous discharge is still high enough for anything you'd want to do.

4) Get a RTA/RDTA tank for your main device. Building your own stuff will save you a pretty penny.

5) Be prepared to like subohm/direct lung vaping. It's gorgeous. MTL is preferred by lots of veterans, and I suspect mainly because that's how they had to vape for the longest time until sub-ohm vaping became a thing; that's not where you come from. Plus, A DL oriented tank will let you close the airflow and do MTL in an ok fashion. It doesn't work the other way around.

At the moment, there's a ton of dual/triple devices out there for EXTREMELY small money; cheapest one I saw today was a good looking (tho slightly outdated) triple battery mod for $9,99. CLICKME. And yes, Efun ships to India. This is the time!

That is indeed tempting man. But I really am skeptical about my readiness (and needing !!??!) and dual/triple battery mod. And point 4 is really not something I want to get into right now. I know it is a penny saver but I dont know if that is the next logical step.
Though I must add that I am not able to land a single battery mod. I already like DL, so that is not an issue. The biggest issue I have is, when I land a recommendation locally, it is sometimes 2-3 times the price on alie and FT. It is really off putting :(
In a confused state now

I am at an impasse guys! I am sorry for taking so long to take the decision, I am trying but the market here literally is hostile. So my apologies for keeping at it and bugging you guys.
My first pass using the recommendations resulted in the following:

Letitia's recommendations:
Asmodus Minikin V2 mod - 6.3K (vapekart) - DUAL
Smoant Battlestar - 4.6K (indivape.in) - DUAL
Smoat Charon - 5.4K (indivape.in) - DUAL
Smoant Charon Mini 225W - 4.2K (vapematra) - DUAL

HazyShades's recommendations:
Wismec Reuleaux - either 2 or 3 batteries, mini has built in battery
Wismec Sinuous - SINGLE but too expensive locally but CHEAP on alie, FT :(
Joyetech eVic VTwo - SINGLE but almost triple the price locally but CHEAP on alie, FT
Vaporesso Nebula - SINGLE 4.1K, 100W
Vaporesso TargetPro - SINGLE, 6.5K, I think this is way too expensive for the specs

stols001's recommendations:
Tesla Punk - DUAL

baditude's recommendations:
Geekvape Aegis Legend - DUAL
Jac vapor series-b dna - not available locally

So as you can see only Vaporesso is kinda affordable here but I do not want to buy another Vaporesso. The Cascade is enough Vaporesso for me for now :)
So I see only 2 options:
1. Alie or FT once my first shipment arrives
2. Spend around 4-5 and invest in a dual battery mod (as @tailland suggests).

Also I am unable to decide on the Uwell crown as they would not respond to me about their coil availability. I am pretty sure that I do not want to rely on FT or alie for coils as the wait time is too large and the risk factor of not getting it voids the device. So I want to ensure I can source coils locally.
I am still fielding the Uwell and Zenith tanks though each of them have only 1 vendor locally and the Uwell not having good coil replacement.
So all in all - mesa stuck !
This is just an interim update, will hunt more, contact more local vendors to see if I can land some good sources.

I do not want to rely on FT or alie for coils

After you figure out what you want and get it, read up on ohm's law...
then view a few youtube flicks about RBA's and rolling your own coils. It certainly is more convenient to screw a new coilhead in
but it makes you depend on the manufacturer and the market. A spool of kanthal or stainless is cheap.
Carry on.

@K Ananthakrishnan a dual is no more complicated than a single battery device to operate. The coils and wattage you will be using the additional batteries only affect your run time. I find dual more convenient and the additional weight is worth that convenience to me. If I am away from home longer than expected and aren't carrying a spare I'm good, my 2 batteries will last until I get home to my stash. The chip is what determines how efficiently your mod uses the batteries. IMO investing in a mod with a good chip/board is money well spent.
A single battery mod is adequate for your current vaping style but may limit you with some coils due to wattage needed. A dual will leave room for versatility. New tanks are cheaper than new mods.;)

Agreed. If I fix the tanks and dont see coils being restocked (or even manufactured!) I guess RBA is the only way to go. Will do the necessary reading

@Letitia
Understood. For me weight, travel are all not considerations. I generally vape at my desk and taking vapes out here, well I have not seen any vapers out in the open :D
So 2 batteries was only a concern in terms of complexity and back ups. You have killed the former and for the latter I found a good deal on some Sony VTC6s. So Smoant I guess is the only that comes cheap compared to the other recommendations? I must add that the Tesla Invader too is in the running as it is a good 1.5K lesser with 2 or 3 battery options. Choices?

I said the steampunk, NOT the punk they're two very different mods (at least I think I said that and if I didn't I should have.) They're two very different mods and I would recommend the punk to no one.

I think you have information overload at this point, so sorry. I don't think that I'm going to be able to answer your questions and you're on page 10 of a thread, and you still haven't made your mod purchase.

So rather than information you more, I'm just going to say, let your intuition guide you and by that I mean that surely there are one or two things on your list that are just appealing to you in particular for whatever reason.

I guarantee that if you take to vaping, whatever first mod you buy won't be your last. There is no "one best mod" for you yet and you've gotten tons of suggestions. Just pick something that is appealing, buy it, and start vaping. You will have a chance to buy more mods down the road, but really-- it's time to actually be the frog that jumps of the log. More information isn't going to help you if you have reached the paralysis stage.

I promise, if you enjoy vaping, you'll get more gear. But you won't get any gear if you continue searching for that "perfect choice" because you truly don't have enough experience to know what that perfect choice is yet, for you.

So just buy something and start vaping. You've done enough prep, it's time to proceed. I realize you are in a situation where it can be hard or expensive gear, but you have enough good suggestions to just run with something.

Certainly doesn't hurt to know it but why would you need it on a regulated device? Choose your batteries according to the power level you use, resistance doesn't factor in so Ohm's law wouldn't do much anything.

"resistance doesn't factor in" that's what I thought when I thought I knew Jack
then I became an engineer.
Resistance ALWAYS FACTORS into vaping. It's the how.

Devices are not failproof. Resistance is the how and why coils get hot and the why batteries vent when a coil
has too much resistance for the power used.
You don't choose your "batteries according to the power level you use", you choose the power you use according to the resistance of the coil you use.
If you're not familiar with ohm's law you might use too much power for your coil
and blow your face off in the event a chip fails( and I have had chips fail).
Though using a regulated device does offer a certain degree of idiot protection
it certainly isn't foolproof.

Though you might take a course in offset lithography and computer typesetting
a student is still taught paste-up and to set lead type. Engineers are taught to use a slide rule even though given modern technology they are obsolete.

In the US we have a trade war with China. Stuff will cost more here. In China the government is considering outlawing the manufacture and sale of vaping stuff, if they do so where will you buy your coils, Mumbai, New Delhi?
Read up...and no matter what you read learn ohm's law..it might save your nose some day. ;)

I will throw in a few other simple+cheap recommendations for good measure.

Eleaf - Invoke 220 (dual), iKonn 220 (dual), iStick Pico Dual (dual), iStick Tria (triple)
Joyetech - Evic VTC Dual (dual), evic Primo 2.0 (dual), Cuboid Tap (dual)
Others - Vaporesso Revenger (dual), Wisme Predator 228 (dual), RX2 or RX3 (dual/triple), Aspire Speeder Revvo or Skystar Revvo

Concering DIY vs pre-made coils.
Pre-made coils look like a convenience product. In a way, they are, but: You don't change coils every day, or even every week. If things go well for you, you'll change them each 2-3 weeks, meaning that the convenience factor is pretty limited. If things do NOT go well, you'll change them after a week, or even earlier, because you got a ....ty production batch, or your liquid is so gunky that it clogs up the cotton. Happens to everyone. That's where you start throwing away money. You won't like that, promise. And then, after some time, your coils will become harder to get, even more expensive, because your atomizer model is now older and the coils aren't produced in high numbers anymore.

DIY: Requires a toolkit to be bought. Time spent on building gets progressively smaller the more you practice. Even if you have to replace your cotton, doesn't mean you have to replace the coil as well. The quality of your vaping experience relies exclusively on your own doing. The running cost of buying cotton and wire are next to non-existent, if you buy cleverly.

I believe the tesla invader is a vv protected and not regulated. Read the description carefully. I would again encourage you to watch some videos before ordering any device.
