Sirius is a mod?
Falcon is drop in coils right? It was in my cart on FT for a long time :D
But you already have a ton of hardware right?!?!?!? OBS Nano being your favourite (I read that on some other threads :D )
Yeah I'm a certified Nano junkie. Love them, broke my heart they were discontinued. Nano has a press fitted chimney that will be unrepairable as they age; guess I need to put away 4 of them and just use the other 4 for rotation (have a couple already showing wear).:(
Falcon is stock coil only, no rba head. I'm using the triple mesh right now. Too much coil for me but the flavor is so very good. I have boxes of their other coils that will suit my vaping style better but am loving this coil for a change of pace.

So intake is the only RTA now?
BTW, I put in a fused clapton onto my intake. The vapor is just great! But I put in what I thought would be a great flavour but then it turned out only to give me stale bananas... Ewwww :-x
Man, that coil seems like heaven!!!

And this ammit is a fickle beast. What was phenomenal with my .33 22g coil is now spitting back. Why oh why?!?!?

Nanos are still in rotation as well as the Intake and Falcon. I generally have 4-7 setups in rotation. I don't see myself giving up the Nano for the Intake, just added the Intake to the family. Surprised that I'm hitting the Falcon almost as often as the rtas. Rdas haven’t gotten much love lately but that's normal for me.

Guess what - I just put in new batteries on the cylon with the ammit and it vapes like a champ !!
So when batteries get quite low, I guess the quality of the vape dies down right? Seems like a no brainer but I thought as long as the battery had juice in it it should deliver the watts ugh???

Mutli wire means fused clapton where it has something like 26g/32g in it right?
For the first time yesterday I got an atomizer short after getting the clapton in. I then found out (after hitting the internet of course!!) that my clapton lead trimming was not great. Damn, those were hard to cut close to the post but I eventually managed it. So many things to learn.... :D

Smoant (actually most all regulated mods) throttle down or cut off when batteries get low. I pull mine out around 3.7-3.6v. When the indicator is down to about 30-25%. If I haven’t mentioned it...rest the batteries an hour or two before and after charging.

Multi wire means more than a single wire. I love my tri core fc. Favorite build by far, I do use others some as well.

You did but it apparently did not penetrate my thick skull. Even now I put it into the charger from the mod. Have switched it off. As for resting after charging that happens automatically as I am cycling three pairs. Maybe its good to get another pair....
When you say around 3.7 or 3.6 - is this the value that is displayed on the mod? I am confused because my fresh pair on the clylon shows 3.55 when I hit the fire button :(

I switch out batteries sooner than needed, as long as you take them out by the time you reach 3.2v you're fine. The mod will probably already be throttling down before then so weaker hit. I want to say the Cylon starts at 3.3v. If you check the manual it will have that info usually.

Is it related to the watts setting? I just put my intake back in and at 35W I am only getting 2.78V reading on the mod. As I increase the watts that voltage keeps increasing. So in essence the indicators are my only clue correct?
I only use my indicator as my guide. If you feel the vape dropping off before you get to half empty take check your settings and if those aren't off take the batteries out and check the wraps and top/bottom for dents. If the battery is fine put it on the charger to get a reading. Volts will drop for a brief moment when you take a hit but should come right back. All I can really tell you is I use dna devices and still try to take my batteries out before they get down to 3.5 just to be safe. You should read @Baditude battery blog. I'm horrible at talking about batteris.

That 3.7 or 3.6 volts value she is speaking about would be the actual voltage of the battery. That value can be found with a voltmeter, digital multimeter, or if your charger displays the voltage of the battery.

I'm not sure about the value being displayed on your particular mod. Your mod may be actually reading the battery voltage, or it may be just displaying the voltage being sent to the coil from the regulating chip when you press the fire button; both can be different values meaning different things.

Sounds like your mod is displaying the voltage being sent from the regulator chip to the coil when you press the fire button. For our purposes, voltage can be thought of as a measured value of electrical current. Wattage is a mathmatical calculation by the regulator chip to achieve the desired power output.

The chip that regulates the current to the coil will have a "voltage cutoff" that is factory preset. This is a protection circuit that prevents over-discharge of the battery. Some mods will have the voltage cutoff at 3.5 volts, some as low as 3.2 volts.

Since a true mechanical (unregulated) mod has no electronics or protection circuits, theoretically you could drain a battery below 2.5 volts, which can damage the battery internally. Realistically, the experienced user should be able to realize the lower voltage by the poor quality of the vape, but an unexperienced user might just continue vaping to the point of abusing the battery.

The regulator chip will do its best to keep the power output consistant (regulation) to what the user dials in in the wattage setting. However, the lower the battery voltage falls during use, the harder the battery and regulator has to work to deliver its amps.

Thank you, I dislike talking about batteries. Need to figure out how to keep a permanent link to your blog on the phone.

The expert to save the "battery" day. I understand completely. The mod is definitely displaying voltage sent to coil, hence the increase with the increased wattage. Got it. And I guess I will enforce the discipline to keep changing the batteries when it gets low enough on the indicator itself until my experience answers it for me. Most appreciated post, spoon fed like a champ :)
