It was nice to have found this forum :). I am new to vaping - but love it already. I would have never thought that I manage to quit smoking - but I did with the help of vaping and being encouraged by friends, who were heavy smokers - it's now one week that I have not touched a cigarette :D - and don't miss it - still feels like a miracle.
I am a bit experimenting - have bought the ego or shisha pen kit and a joy tec - I actually prefer the ego. So far I only bought virginia flavour and some menthol - one pen is with and one without menthol. But I have ordered 3 more flavours - I want this to be a fun experience - just wished I had discovered that earlier.

YEars ago I loved to smoke the Indonesian Kretek cigarettes - so I was happy to have found the clove flavour - shall get it in a few days - does anybody have any experience with that?

No experience with the Close flavor, I'm afraid. I did notice your post though and liked your story. I find it inspirational that it still works for others. It still works for me, but it's nice to be reminded about the joy and success of quitting and how good that makes you feel. Welcome to the Forum and so glad you made it! Good luck from across the pond.

Welcome to the forum, Clivia, and hearty congratulations on joining the ranks of vapers! All the different flavors are one of the main joys of vaping, IMO. After you've been vaping a while, you may want to broaden your flavor horizon to include non-tobacco flavors. If you can imagine a flavor, it's probably available somewhere!

Thanks so much for the nice welcome :) - Chrissie - please - what is an evod? - guess I still have loads to learn - but as I am by nature a curious person - that shall be fun - the other flavours I ordered are whiskey and brandy - I am sure I will broaden my range of flavours - but right now I can't imagine to smoke 'bananasplit' - but never say never ( sushi would be nice :D - only kidding - it's my favourite food)

Hi Clivia, from one of your Lancashire neighbours :D
I've actually been to the Vape Escape shop that Chrissie linked to, I'm using one of their Evods in my daily rotation of tanks. The guys there are great to deal with and will answer any questions (if you can't find the answer on here).
All the different flavours are what keeps me vaping, variety is the key for me.
Anyway welcome and happy vaping

A late hello to Bill - at the other side of the pond :) and Ania.

Thanks again Chrissie - today I will go through all the links - wow - whole new worlds are opening here

also hello to you trouble - what is the advantage of the evod to a 'normal' atomizer - just ordered a few 'normal' in different colours from ebay - for the different flavours.

Is there any 'vapershop' in or close to Leeds?

Hi and welcome!

I'm not sure I know what you mean by "normal" atomizer? Do you perhaps mean something like this?

hi Ocelot - I mean exactly that

Those are what we call "clearomizers" (clearos). The ones in the picture are CE4 (or 5 or 6 or whatever comes out tomorrow ;)) they are a "top coil" meaning that the juice is held in the tank part of it and is wicked up the strings to the heating element at the top where it vaporizes. Clearos like that come in different resistances, may have long or short strings, and some have replaceable "heads" (the heat coil) that are screwed on and off. A Vivi Nova is another type of juice delivery system that work in the same fashion.

It's important with top coils to always keep the wicks wet. You need to tip or twirl them around periodically, especially after they have been sitting for a while to keep the juice flowing. A problem with top coils is if you are using a juice with a high vg ratio.Vg is thicker than pg and may have trouble wicking properly or gum up the strings.

The Kanger EVOD is a “BCC” (Bottom Coil Clearo), sort of a top coil upside down. The coil is on the bottom. It still has wicks, but they tiny and hard to see. Since the wicks are always in the liquid, they don't dry out very easily. With a BCC, the replaceable “heads” are screwed into the bottom.

Kanger Protank is also a BCC, but is made of glass (Pyrex) and metal. It screws into the internal 510 threads. The mouthpiece is not removable. It comes with a “Beauty Ring” thread cover (cone cover) to make it look more streamlined on an eGo type battery.

There are thread covers (like the "Beauty Ring") available to use with a Vivi Nova or other 510 connecting devices on an eGo to make it more streamlined.

I started vaping with a kit that would easily fit in my pocket including all of my juice.

Now, a little over a month later I have one of my wifes old shoe boxes filled with bottles of different flavors I've bought.

I won't even get started on the devices I've bought since I started...

I do know for a fact that I never had this much fun learning about cigarettes though.

I have learned one thing for certain, no matter what device you are using or which juice you are vaping it is 1000x more enjoyable for me than smoking.

And I've never heard of a cigarette forum.

Hello and welcome to ECF.
