Hi MagicEyez, welcome aboard!

Lots of information here on the boards...too much sometimes. Definitely listen to Kent C, he has been a great help to me. I think we've all started off pretty much the same way and I was one of those that took the plunge with the expensive mall cigarette. I've gone from that into several other models before finally settling on a mod - The Protege from PureSmoker. Here's what it looks like:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/41185-photos-my-protege.html

I can honestly tell you it has worked perfectly for me and is my exclusive PV now. A little more expensive to get it ($115 for the full kit) but had I bought it before going through the other models, I would have saved a ton of money. Battery life, "throat hit", size, adaptability...you can order it with the KR-8081d adapter that accepts the pre-filled cartridge.

I recently took a driving trip from Houston to Tulsa and this thing made was amazing. 2 batteries got me there - 8+ hours of pretty much non-stop vaping. Look for their forum here:

I love my Protege too. Zero problems. I find myself going to the Bartleby more - a bit more vapor probably because I keep it hooked up to the usb, but there are few, if any, mods that look better than the Protege. That is where my Absinthe resides. Thanks for you kind comments.

Wow, unlimited information ~ I think I'm going into overload for real!!

One more quick question ... the kit from ... for instance - CigNot - you get 5 bottles of the drops (I think they might be called juices??) ... I know its different for everyone, but on average ... how long should a bottle last? I think I read that you put 12-15 drops (I'm very likely to be way off on that) ... But any extra information on that would be great!!!

Also .... Thank You All *SOOOOO* very much for being patient with me and helping me through this!!!!!

It really depends on how much you vape....some people around here go through 1-2ml a day (roughly 20 drops equal 1ml) some people go through much more than that a day.

Some people use a higher nic juice (or e-liquid) and vape fewer times per day, while others use a lower juice and vape more times per day.

Keep in mind that the juice will be good for two years or so, so get get 30-60ml to start with, in a couple different flavors...that should last you at least a couple weeks.

Most US Suppliers will get to Tyler in 3 business days, so plan accordingly.

A quick correction on the cignot kit. It comes with 5 pre-filled cartridges, not 5 bottles of juice. Me and my boyfriend just bought those kits and so did his mom and dad right after us lol. The cartridges that come with it will already have juice in them, probably marlboro flavored high nic (not sure how many mg of nic) that is what the box says that our carts came in. Depending on what kit on there u get, it could be just the 5 pre-filled carts or that plus 2 bottles of e-juice of your choice. I vape all day long and I would say I use about a 10 ml bottle per week, give or take a little.

If you go with the Cignot kit (about the same as China price) you will notice something you don't usually see which is a choice of AUTOMATIC or MANUAL batteries. On the manual you press a button to turn it on and it is the preferred battery. You have more control. With the automatic it activates when you suck on it. More like a cigarette experience, but being forced to suck makes it a little exhausting after a while. AND if juice gets into the AUTOMATIC battery it will stop working. So, and automatic will generally have a shorter life span. And once the AUTOMATIC switch stops working, sticks, or because unreliable it becomes very frustrating. If you must get an AUTOMATIC only get one. That way you can try it out and find a preference. I use only the manuals.

Here's my take on juice. Theoretically, 2 ml should equal a pack of cigarettes (2 drops is a cigarette and 2ml is 40 drops). You may use more or less. So a 30 ml bottle will equal about 15 pack. To play it safe I always underestimate and assume 30ml equals a carton of cigarettes or 10 packs. Therefore if you smoke a pack a day, you'll need 90ml of liquid a month. Or 3 30ml bottles. I place an order every month and haven't run out of liquid yet. The worst case scenario is that you'll have juice left over at the end of the month. Better then running out. Don't forget to compensate for shipping time. If you order from China make sure you have a weeks supply.

Most months when I place my order I have about a months supply already sitting on my shelf. That way you're ready for emergencies. Oh and a prefilled cart should last between 4-6 cigarettes.

P.S. I ordered a 510 kit for myself for Christmas. I needed the extra charger and I wanted to stock up on batteries and atomizers anyway.
