Hello from VA

Hello, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say "hi" :) I'm Cat and fairly new to vaping, going on a few weeks. I started smoking when I was 9 and stopped when I was 15 for 'the love of my life' to whom I'm still married to :) I never lost the craving or thoughts about cigs, though, and picked it up again a couple of times, but totally dropped it when my oldest son asked me when I was going to die :( so I quit again.
After seeing my brother-in-law with an e-cig and then my son bringing one home from work, I wanted to try it, and I loved it. Nicotine without the ciggy toxins. I toyed around with the Blu (my first ecig) and noticed an increase in focus as well as pain reduction from my arthritis. I also enjoyed the simulated 'smoking' action.
After much research, I discovered that some people smoke or vape for ADHD, which I have a mod/severe case of and can't take the Rx stimulants without adverse reactions, there are even studies using patches with success (please note, I am not advocating or recommending using nicotine for this purpose, this is only my experience and am sharing how I got into vaping). So, after much thought, I decided on vaping over patches or gum.
I started with Blu, but I quickly hated how fast the carts ran out and even more how the batteries needed charging. Then, I upgraded to a Kanger Evod blister pack and I was thrilled with it until it came time to fill the tank, the post is short and using a dropper was/is difficult, and then I only had one battery and of course I was without while it charged. Then I got another cheapo battery as a back up, and cheapo it is, and then.....it goes on, lol. I'm discovering that it is an expensive venture until you work out the quirks/likes/dislikes to find the right set up, and of course all the juices/liquids pg vs vg and so on and so forth :)
At the moment I am using my Evod battery and a VV 650 ego spin-off and going between Aspire BDC clearos, plastic, and my newly arrived nautilus mini. I am waiting on an Innokin VV VW version 3 battery and a couple of pro tank mini 3s to arrive in the mail. I like BDC tanks due to less of a throat hit/smoother inhale than top but, I'm feeling that the Aspire clearos require too much draw giving me jaw pain, while the Nautilus, I so wanted to like it, has no warmth at all and is giving me grief with the gurggles, sigh...so am hoping I like the protank mini 3s better.
Any other experiences with Nautilus issues and how to resolve them would be appreciated :)
Sorry for the novel, but wanted to introduce myself and all. Looking forward to getting more antiquated with everyone.
Adios for now and happy vaping :vapor:

you'll enjoy the Innokin vv. I'll agree with you on the Aspires I had a Vivi Nova and it was like sucking a golf ball through a garden hose. On the Nautilus, I resolved my issues by giving them to my daughter and "almost" son in law. *lol*

congrats on quitting and there's lots of Nautilus lovers and gurus 'round here, that'll help you on that. The word was I was sucking too hard on the Nautilus and sucking juice through it, oh well, I found ones I do like and that doesn't happen (Kanger Aerotank V2's and backed down a bit on the inhale on the Mega and doing fine on them)

Happy vaping to you too!:vapor::toast:

Welcome to ECF!

There will be a large vaping event in Richmond, VA October 24–25, VaporCon5|East. These type of events are a wonderful way to ogle tons of gear, sample loads of juices and get to know your fellow vapers.

There have been reports of quite a few Nautilus bad heads causing leaking and gurgling. You might want to try a new head.

You will love your Innokin VV 3.0. They are amazing little workhorses.
