Hello,I have many questions ?

So how to start,Well lets start by introducing myself "Hi i am Morgan,I am from south africa,born and bred".I am new to vaping only started about three weeks ago,and haven't smoked normal/analog cigs since.I was a box a day smoker for 4 years,not to long i know,but i rate 1 day is to long,but thanks to the PV im slowly starting my recovery.So thats enough of that.

I started vaping on an unkown model a ecig called best4ecigs from the UK that my brother sent me,i was using cartamizers on that,started prefilled then i started to fill them myself,was a very impressive ecig well except for the battery life,which suck bad.

So a week after getting that model,i was hooked and started ordering juice,i finally settled on 34mg nic menthol and plain 100% VG juice,which im happy with to a point.I will explain now my problems.

I am now vaping on a Joye Ego "shuttle" 650mah batt,cone atty,and carts.I am also trying my hand with a tankomizer and clearomizers but cant get the hang of them they just wont wick properly at all
i really wish i knew how to make them work properly.But i am lost as to how.

So thats my first question how do you make the clearomizer and tankomizers wick properly ?

My second question is my current setup the 650mah batt with the cone atty and the carts,it gives loads of vapor(average vap accually) but no flavor at all none,not with my tobacco or menthol juice,i dont know if im not packing the carts properly or what but theres no flavor at all,but loads of vapor,and no matter what i try,Iv even tried to mod the carts with the PTBmod and the straw Mod.But cant seem to get the hang of it,and am seriously upset because my no name model with the cartos was a better smoke the my current ego model,and i know i must be doing something wrong.Iv been considering getting the 510 LR cartos and using them on my ego,instead of the atty and carts i am using at the moment,I will if i have to but,i can only get them in a week,so for the time being i have to use the carts and attys.So i was wondering if someone can walk me through the basics of how to get the best smoke out of what i have and how to get it.I am accually really upset about this all,but am hoping someone here can help me out. I also get no throat hit to speak of,i have considered the fact that maybe im flooding the atty,but if i am how do i get everything im looking for out of what i have,I want atleast a throat hit to speak of and atleast some flavor and loads of vapor.So please help im in real need of it.Thanks

Hello Morgan and welcome to ECF. I notice that you are using 100% vg and that can be tough to use in a cartomizer. You may get better results by thinning it down just a bit with distilled water or vodka. Just a little at a time though as it will thin it pretty quick. I like the LR cartomizers but I don't like the burning filler that I always seem to get eventually and I wonder if that is as unhealthy as cigarettes to be honest. I too had little satisfaction with atty and carts and direct dripping did not do it for me either. I still use the LR cartos on occasion but I have almost exclusively gone to the newer ultimate CE2 fluxomizers from Gotvapes. They unfortunately need to be fiddled with to get a good consistent hit but are worth the trouble IMO.

You can also get higher PG% juice to thin it and work better with cartos. If you're getting lots of vapor, it could be your equipment is working fine, but your taste buds are shot. This is very common for vapers, especially those like me who vape a lot. It will take time for new taste buds to grow back.

I am one of few who still uses carts, but with blue foam to fit more juice in it. Atty + cart OR carto, if it gets dirty, vapor and flavor will reduce. Need to clean them.
