Hi welcome to ECF and have a look around. First thing is try to find out if there are any local groups in your area and also vendors. It is nice to talk to someone in person while your trying to learn all this new e cig stuff, not that it is that hard but it can be confusing at times.

For someone just starting out I would recommendnd an EGO kit.

Hi everyone,

I'm new (well, you knew that) and am looking for information to start on e-cigarettes.
I guess I'm in the right place?
:p

Welcome and yes you are in the right place. You'll find everything you need to arm yourself for a vaping adventure. I recommend you read everything you can here and glean what you can. Ask questions, we were all in your shoes at one point or other. Enjoy.

Scarlett, welcome to ECF. You will find a lot of information and a lot of very nice and helpful people here.

You should read the stickies in the New Member Information forum. It will help you with a few of the basics of e-cigs. Here's a link: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-information/

Also, when you see something you don't understand, ask questions and also search for youtube videos. There are tons of them, and it is really helpful to see it in a video.

Welcome to vaping! I will agree with the folks above regarding the ego. Joyetech’s egos are IMHO, the way to go. Their addy/tank system did not work for me though, leaking problems and dry hits with thicker juices. I use a tank and cartomizer setup (from madevapes, but they are Smoktech) and never have leaking or dry hits anymore. I started with V2 ecigs, but quickly wanted something more/better and have never looked back. One of the great things about the ego is the passthrough versions. They allow you to use any mini usb cable to charge. I had a dozen of these cables laying around from random computer accessories. The 650mah batteries last me all day and the 2.5 or 3.5 ml tanks hold more then enough juice to last a full day.

Ask away, everyone here is very helpful.

If you are looking for something that looks like a cigarette, check out the volt from smokeless image. They are the most recommended "mini" on here. They have a customer service that is second to none, batteries last 2-4hours, cartos last a long time, can be refilled several times and don't burn easy. In addition, they are very reasonably priced.

If you want something larger, like the size of sharpie, check out the kgo.

This video demonstrates the volt and discusses ecigs in general. It also shows the x2 (which is the same as the kgo but with different threading). This way you can get an idea of the difference.

Congrats on deciding to check out vaping

All roads lead to ECF. You're DEFINITELY in the right place! Welcome! :)

A ton of answers to anything you can possible think to ask are here; if you don't find it, just pick a subforum and ask! The folks here are really good at lending an ear and providing support too. Don't be afraid to reach out.

If you haven't decided on a system yet, I would maybe suggest quickly thumbing through positive reviews. Then when one jumps out at you, thumb through the negative ones, or do a search for "problem with _____." Try to find a vendor with a 30-day money-back guarantee, or at least a decent warranty. This will allow you to try out different systems without having a bunch of stuff ending up in a drawer. And these things are mass produced electronics, so you just never know.

Happy vaping! Good luck!
