Hello, My name is Elliot!!

Just picked up my Panzer 26650 with a kayfun 3.1 and had the bloke set the coil etc for me, got home.. Fillet it up & the smoke is next to nothing and absolutely kills my throat, even tried 0mg nicotine and still the same problem?

I know i've jumped in at the deep end with this equipment but i like to learn :D

Any idea to why it's killing my throat also with hardly any smoke?

Howdy and welcome to ECF,
Its difficult to tell from those pictures but what i can see and the little bit that you described is that the coil is burning too hot for the set up. Basically if the wicking material isn't feeding juice fast enough to the coils then you'll end up with burnt taste city or volcano vape syndrome.
Basically your coils are burning too hot, you'll need to rebuild that set-up. This is nothing that I can easily help you out with unless in person. Whomever built that I'd say have them or someone at a B&M store rebuild it.
If they ask, just request a cooler vape, maybe something like 30 gauge at 5-6 or 6-7 wrap per side, this would decrease the heat of the vape and the wraps would provide a little more surface area for atomization of liquid (more vape) but cooler then what your experiencing.
Your target ohm range should be between .9 and 1.1 ohm, a little higher isn't bad at all really.

The first question I'd ask is what resistance are you operating at, but seeing as you had someone else build it then you probably don't know. I'm also unsure if you can build a dual coil Kayfun in that manner. I've never done dual coils on a kayfun, but I believe the coils should still be above the air hole.

Honestly the whole build looks like a complete mess. Since you seemed to jump into this situation head first then I hope you at least brushed on battery and mech safety.

So if i say to him what you've said and sorts it, it shouldn't be a horrible soar throat even at 0mg?

I don't know your device, but with any rba the coils need to be properly placed to be in the airflow. Could that be the issue? You certainly could get little vapor and a harsh hit if it were.
Exactly what someone else said to me..
Now that the idiot has already put this coil into place and stimmed the wire, you think i could rewire it or just better off ordering some more wire?

Sorry, I stupidly deleted me post. Yeah, your coil doesn't seem to be over the airhole, this will cause problems, but should be able to fix it. Watch this-> No,not that.:D Sorry again, this-> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8H0jawnlR0M

EDIT: Sorry about The Shaggs:D:D:D

Now I see yours is different from the one in the vid, seems yours takes two coils. Not that you have to use two though. Like I said before I don't have a Kayfun 3.1, but it still seems to me you would need the coils to be over the airhole for it to work correctly. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm doing nothing but screwing up in this thread anyway.:D I guess there will be a dud once in a while.

I just tried re-wiring the coil to one rather than dual and it fried the wire?

Wow, Are you telling us the guy at the vape shop built that ridiculous and obviously bad coil? He should be fired.

The coil NEEDS to be above the airhole. No wonder you get the most disgusting vape with that setup.

And that is true for any kind of coil in any kind of atomizer. The coil absolutely as to be in the path of the airflow.

Now... What kind of battery did this guy sell you?

What do you mean, you took one coil out and moved the other to above the air hole, then fired it(with or without?) the chimney on it. I'm just wondering if it touched metal and shorted.
I moved it to a single set up (Took both coils out and started over again), Set it up over the air hole and it fried the wire.. I think it was definitely a short!
I'd just like to sat though, thanks alot for the help so far guys i really appreciate you helping a n00b!

It will be taken to a shop that actually knows what they're going and i'll get a dual micro coil and see how much they try set me back.

Wow...

This shop is terrible. I can't believe they sold you a trustfire and a mech mod.

Stop using it. Trustfire batteries are a big No No in vaping, they are not made for this application, they are dangerous and could vent and explode.

Get yourself some high drain batteries asap. Something like efest 20A or 30A or MNKE IMR 18650 – 1500 mAh – 20 A

Just WOW.:danger:

Could you link me to something that will be fine for me?
I knew i shouldn't have jumped into all this!! I've sunk in too much money on this equipment to just give up now & i'm sure i'll learn from all of this.
I'm hoping tomorrow i can go out and buy what i need and get it all set up and STOP SMOKING! haha

Right, i've brought that now on eBay :)
So what next? What do i say to the stop as i'm taking it elsewhere to get it sorted..

EBay is probably the worst place to buy batteries. A lot of fakes are being sold....

RTD Vapor is pretty well trusted.

I would not go back to the shop.
