Hi all,
I am new here.
I started vaping a month ago, and my last cigarette was 2 weeks days ago
This is the longest I've been without a smoke in 20 years. Used to be a pack-a-day smoker.
My initial experience with vaping was bad! I made the mistake of googling for "Ecigarette buy", and the top result was a place called "Ecigaretteschoice.com" that sells the "SS Choice No. 7". I ordered that and some sample cartridges for $65. Later I found out, it's WAY overpriced. And it performed very poorly, not much vapor. To add insult to injury, the damn thing just died after 10 days. (however I may have been at fault, so I didn't bother returning it... see more below)
Then I was at the local 7-11, and they were selling Ecigs! It was called XHALEO2, priced at $20. It was so cheap, I bought it just to see if it's any better than the SS Choice.
It was! It produced lots of vapor! Which was weird because its size was very small, smaller than the SS Choice. $20 is a heck of a deal, because the manufacturer's website (xhaleo2.com) is selling the same package for $30. (1 battery, 1 atomizer, 4 cartridges). Also 7-11 is selling the 10-pack refill for $15, cheaper than the website which sells it for $20.
I been lurking on ECF a bit lately. Seems like the Joy 510 is the most popular model here, so I ordered it from Freedomsmokes.com.... hopefully it will be even better than the xhaleo2 (which i still like, and it's still working, so i can keep that as a backup even if the 510 becomes my main)
Regarding why the SS Choice No.7 broke, it might be because I attached the cartridge to the atomizer in a twisting motion. It just seemed natural to do that, since you attach the battery to the atomizer in a similar way (screwing it on). And the manual for the SS Choice didn't say anything on the subject.
However, when I got the XHALEO2 and read the manual, it said DO NOT TWIST THE CARTRIDGE onto the atomizer, instead attach it with a straight motion. Apparently you can damage the atomizer if you twist the cartridge onto it. So anyways maybe that's what happened to the SS Choice. Still, they should've explained it in the manual. Oh well, the SS Choice sucked anyways, no big loss.
Well enough rambling for my first post

And monster throat hit!
Sometimes it comes off the atomizer in my mouth if I grasp it too firmly with my lips! Is this normal?
