Hello, My Partner and I Quit Today and Would Like a Bit of Guidence Please

Hello Everyone

My partner and I have quit smoking today and he want to try e-cigarettes to help him give up all together. We went to the local shop and got an e-lite but then realised it wasn't refillable. Did a bit of you tubing but finding it all a bit baffling.

He would like something that looks like a cigarette with lots of vapour, and also one that you can refill yourself with the liquids and change the flavour etc, also one where you can change the strength to wean him off.

When I was looking on Google I was just getting all the different makes but no one place where you can compare them all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, congrats

I used the vapor4life titan batteries with their refillable cartomizers for a couple years and loved them. They hit hard and aren't terribly expensive. Unfortunately they are a US based company but the point is that there are refillable analog size units out there that perform great and give you the options you want.

As for the strength, any refillable unit will work for that, just gradually step down the nicotine mg as you order.

Good luck and hopefully someone can speak up to a brand that would be more readily available to you. Don't give up either if the first brand you try isn't up to your standards. I went through three different brands before i found one that worked for me.

Once you get to 5 posts, you can check the UK subforum to find suppliers. I know a lot of the US suppliers ship internationally, but that takes forever.

That said, if you can find somewhere in the UK that carries them, Smokeless Image makes great cig-a-likes and I highly recommend them. Most people will tell you that you need something with a bigger battery, but what you need is simply what works best for you.

I find it a bit baffling myself!! However, so far these guys have been great!! I have learned so much today! I found that the Tank systems work best for me. Find a Ego or Riva system, great starter sets and not too expensive, buy multiple batteries though...Backups are always good!

I, too, highly recommend passing over the cigarette-looking sized batteries and going straight to the much better performing larger Volt X2 with Passthru batteries. The cigalikes just do not last long enough (only 2-3 hours). The X2s are more cigar sized and will last at least six hours between charges.

There are a couple of different heating coil attachments to choose from: cartomizers and clearomizers. These are easy to learn how to fill.

I've only actually used go4smoke so far, all my delivery's have come the next day so far and they've been great.

In terms of what to get, I bought their Stoptober kit £30 for a pair of Joye Ego battery's, clearomizer's (which you fill with your choice of juice) and a charger.

Along with that I got a selection of different juices, with different VG/PG ratio's, flavours and nicotine content.

I also bought some Glycerine from the Tesco pharmacy yesterday (that's the VG bit of the Juice) which I use to 'water down' the liquid if it's too harsh for me.
