Hey everyone, so i am a pretty avid smoker. I started about 4 years ago, which increased over time. This Monday i went to the doctor for a bad cough and dizziness and i was told i had a bad case of bronchitis. After finding this out, i did some research and decided I needed to quit smoking. I have been pretty angry and upset about it, but i thought of E cigarettes today. A few of my friends have them, i tried them and have always wanted one. So now i have a reason to get one. I'm looking for a good starter kit. Something that will charge by wall or USB and has a wide option of flavors. Any help is appreciated. Also, do E cigarettes have ANY negative effects?(im sorry if this is posted 232345235345345 times a day. I'm just excited and curious)

Welcome to ECF and the vaping world.

do they have any negative effects?
At this point, that is really an unknown. Simply because ecigs have not been around for very long.
But, there have been zero deaths or serious illnesses attributed to them so far.
Some have allergic reactions - but you can say that about ANYTHING.

Most here will say that they feel tons better, can breathe better, no longer coughing and can excersise more since they can breathe better.

As far as what to get? The forum favorites seem to be the 510 and KR808D-1
Either one would be a fine choice.

Whatever you decide to get, get more than you think you'll need.
Get a couple extra (on top of what comes with the package) atomizers and/or cartomizers.
Get at least 1 extra (on top of what comes with the package) battery.
Get some extra ejuice. At least around 5 or 6 10ML bottles (of different flavors)

Click the Forum Suppliers link at the top to find a long list of vendors that have been found to be reputable by ECF.

Most of all, enjoy it. vaping is great.

Welcome to ECF and to the world of vaping. Sorry to hear that you're sick but happy to hear that you're listening to your body and doing something about it.

I'm still new to this too. I purchased a starter kit here:

Vapor King Premium E-Cig Kits and Cases - Vape On!

But there are plenty of other vendors right here on the forum who sell what you're looking for. I wanted to give you that link to show you the many pieces that ecig owners might have.

Good luck and keep reading. There's a ton of information here but don't get overwhelmed!

I usually go through NHaler.com. I just ordered a Wet Box but dont have it yet but looks promising

shopDOTnhalerDOTcom/The-Wet-Box-WetBoxDOTHTM

I do have the Bartlebee 3.7 Box mod and love it. I dont know if this is the same one on nhaler.

shopDOTnhalerDOTcom/37-Volt-Box-Mod-37Volt-Box-ModDOThtm

Whats nice about this one is it has a USB passthrough so I can charge it and use it at the same time. NHaler prices are usually about the same as others if not less and they have a coupon code: "saveinnj" that gets you 10% off and have used it for all my orders so there doesnt seem to be a limit. Items usually ship the same day, but once it didnt ship till the next, which is still fast.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer and Happy vaping.

PS No I am not a sales person for nhaler lol. Just my supplyer of choice :p

Welcome, sorry to hear about your bronchitis.

Vaping is not smoking. It is a similar, but entirely different activity. How you inhale is different, as you will find out. The vapor is a steam mist and not a burning plant/chemical blend. You get less nicotine per inhale than you do with burning butts. As you read through the many posts here at ECF you will gain insight and understanding (as we all have) from the experiences of others.

For ease of use, many experienced vapers, would point you to wards a kit from : Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives

or any of the fine registered suppliers that you could check by clicking on the 'Forum Suppliers' link at the top of each page.

Please don't be tempted by offers of 'Free Trials' you'll find on the web. Or the mall kiosks. There is a 100% chance that you will get an inferior product at an inflated price.

I am not 100% certain that vaping is completely safe. I am 100% certain that it is safer than cigarettes. I smoked for 25 years, pack a day of Camels.

Good luck.

Lots of posts! Awesome!

So what im looking for really now is something that will stay charged/easy to carry/ or will charge over a day or two. I am out a lot and wont have too much time to charge everything at home. I would really like something easy to carry about the size of a pack of cigarettes. So far it looks like i will be going with the KR808.

PayPal has prevented/cancelled accounts for many e-cig suppliers due to their policies about the possible banning of e-cigs in some states.

That being said, in your neck of the woods, Nhaler is in NJ. and is a popular supplier.
Link : http://www.nhaler.com/

Use discount code: saveinnj for 10% off.

I went on madvapes.com yesterday and got a dse 901 kit it came with two batteries and two atomizers, a usb battery charger, a usb wall adapter, and 5 prefilled cartridges for 29.99. (a really good deal) I saw they have some good deals on other ones too. I have not tried the 901 yet, but i have heard good things about it. If you did decide on a 901 I hear they don't have a great battery life, so you might want to invest in extra batteries. I can't wait for mine to get here. I have ordered from madvapes before, and I know they have good service and free shipping on orders over $50 which most places have free shipping for kits I think. I do reccomend the marlboro juice they offer if you like tobacco flavor. Also there are tons of reviews on different e cig products on youtube you might want to check out. Hope I helped you out, I'm new at this too.
