Hi folks
i'm planning to purchase a start up kit, as I'm new to this and want to make a big change over to the vapour.
I'm currently a roll-up smoker who gets through a half ounce of GV a day...i'm 42 and I work a physical outdoor job ( my hobbies are all physical too) I'm noticing health problems with the smoking, so I'm wanting to change my ways!!

I've been looking at Vapeescape, and wonder whether anyone can offer me a bit of guidance with a startup purchase...Its all a bit confusing for a bloke who usually goes into a corner shop and says " half ounce of Golden Virgina and a pack of green rizla..HeHe

Nice to know that there some other people in the Uk who want to do the same, and would love to hear your advice and experiences

All the very best to you all

Keith

Welcome

You sound like I was, except my GV came from France
My first set up was a Screwdriver MkII (cartos) and Totally Wicked's Red Lable Tobacco. IMHO Tobacco flavours don't taste like it. However I got used to it. It's almost like changing tobacco manufacturer.

If you want a good, cheapish first kit, you wont go far wrong with a EGO-t battery, charger, CE4 atomiser and some juice. Vapingliquid (for basic stuff - batteries, chargers, atties and juce) does a great service and is quick

If you want to get specific, ask.

I'm now on a Vamo (big bugger) and genesis tanks. But my EGOs, CE4s and Vivi Novas still get a proper look in.

Good luck with making the switch. I've been tobacco free for 6 months and feel as heathy as a non-smoker now. I have bought an unbelievable number of bottles of eliquid and hardware looking for the best setup for me and probably havent saved a penny yet. I couldnt find a tobacco flavout i like but have found some delicious flavours from paradise vape (candy cane being my favourite). Vape escape is a better place to buy hardware. I prefer clearomizers with small batteies and i find they last all day because i carry 3 and switch between flavours.

Hello and welcome, Keith.

As other have said, vapeescape are excellent suppliers. A small tip, you may find the taste a bit strange when you start but stick with it because it is much better for your health and for your wealth. I have only been vaping for 6 months and I was a smoker for 40 years and used to really like smoking, now I cannot stand the taste.

I can kind of understand the reasoning behind going for a different taste and sticking with it. Perhaps I might try a departure from the tobacco taste?

I started with the menthol even though I did not smoke menthol cigarettes, after a while I found this a little sweet, I tried the tobacco taste but found this very strange, and still do, but after reading a tip on this forum, I added a little menthol, about 5 to 10% to it, I now use this as my favoured taste. This does not mean that it would suit your taste, I mention it to let you know to experiment with some of the juices because the taste can be adjusted to your requirements.
