Hello! (Vaporesso Gen Issue)

Hi everyone,

So I've been using my vaporesso Gen with a Drop Rda for the past couple months now and i really love it. Recently though all of the buttons on the device stopped functioning. It still turns on and recognizes the RDA but yeah. I've tried changing batteries, updating firmware, changing the tank but none of that has worked. If i touch one of the buttons it still brings up the display but i can't go any further than that. It is almost like its in display lock mode(but it isn't). Any help would be very appreciated, I'd rather not have to get a new mod if I don't have to

Can't help with the problem; sorry to hear about it but welcome to the Forum.

contact customer support ASAP, in case you still have warranty. best attach a video of malfunction. include authentication code and any other identidying code (e.g. batch number). these were the requirements by UWell at least, but can;t go wrong with it.

no expert (at all) and i haven't even turned on my gen yet, so can only brainstorm in your shoes: hope it's a circuit problem, maybe the buttons' connection to board (if that's a different circuit than the one bringing up the screen)(?). does it still read the tank/coil when you twist it on? fear maybe it's the chip/board or whatever they call it.

also maybe additionally contact the seller.

Welcome to ECF, LifeIsBrief. I'm at a loss as well, I'm not familiar with that device nor have I any idea what could be the problem or solution to it. I'm sure though that somebody here could help you out. About all I can say is browse thru Youtube vids for a similar issue.

Hello and welcome to ECF.

I downloaded the user manual from Vaporesso and it looks you're on a lock feature.

Here's the text from there.

2) 3 continusly pressing fire button to lock and unlock the up , down and mode button.
3) 3 continusly pressing mode button to unlock the mode button.

I assume you tried the above but had to ask. Other than that I'm on a lost.

Contact Seller and Vaporesso. I’ve had nothing but great service from them. They may even have an account on this forum.

@Vaporesso_Chelsea yep. They do. Maybe Chelsea can help you out.

you’re going to have to record it not working. Just turn it on and record u pressing the buttons with the screen showing. Pretty much all manufacturers will want a recoding in my experience.
