Hello there. Read the horror article regarding an exploding battery, seen counter-claims that it was a modded e-cig, but I can't seem to find much info on the company I've purchased from in a local shopping centre in the UK.

Anyone seen or heard of these people?

The battery thing has been blown out of proportion. I've been using all kinds of rechargeable batteries for along time including LIon batteries only time I had a problems was when I put a Transceiver Battery in my pocket with out the supplied safety cap. Shorted on the change in my pocket. Brought whole new meaning to the term "hot pocket". I've had them leak but no exploding. I suspect that some of those stories come from some kind of misuse of the battery.

Wannaquit, I don't know how much you paid for it or how much they are charging for refills, but most of the ciggie lookalikes that are sold at kiosks in shopping malls are expensive - especially the cartomisers. However, you can refill your cartomisers with e-liquid.

Here is a list of good UK e-cig & e-liquid vendors -

I'd recommend investing in a 510 connection (Pretty much the standard connection these days) automatic battery or two (There are loads of vendors online who sell these as kits in the UK)..

I'd also recommend a manual EGO style battery. These have really good battery life... They don't really look much like a real cigarette though. This may be an issue for you.

That way, you can buy some Boge 510 cartomisers (Or Vision Stardust Clearomisers) and refill them yourself using juice at whatever strength and flavour you fancy. It works out so much cheaper and will be way more satisfying.

Best of luck with your journey. There are loads of people on this forum who will help you answer any questions you may have

I thought I was going to be hung up on the look alike thing but after switching to an ego T after multiple tries with the gas station look alikes I like the fact that it doesn't look like a cig. I think that alone has been part of the help in not even wanting a regular cig. With the look alikes I would always want a real one more often than not.
