Hello all im a 10 year smoker and i just picked up a 510 kit with manual battery from a website i found. The kit came with blank carts so i ordered a 5 pack of sample liquid from e liquid planet. My big issue is that there is almost no flavor to my vapor, i get the nicotine but this borring mildly sweet vapor. Is this normal?

There's a huge world of e-liquid out there with dozens if not hundreds of vendors. The best thing is to keep trying different ones until you hit on something you like. It takes a while to find favorites but it's worthwhile. There's a sub forum around here for e-liquid reviews which might be helpful E-Liquid Reviews
it did the same to me. 2 things to consider is that over time youll get your taste back, so within a week or so, liquids will get tasty-er
also make sure u also try the pg version of your liquid. pg is tastier but gives u less visible vapor, vg vapes more, but tastes less

wnorcus, hard to tell if it's the liquid, if it's the consequence of losing a bit of taste from smoking, if it's technique, or if it's the device. Sometimes it's a combination of all 4. Try longer draws, drink water to clean your palate before you vape, and see if the taste improves.
In my experience, the first few times around, the taste might be a little dull (for example, I could barely taste a 555's real flavor until about a week after I quit smoking).

It's probably because, more than likely, that 510 kit was 3.0ohm everything with a 3v battery.
I don't think many of you would get any flavor either out of a setup that anemic.
Pick up a 2.0ohm atomizer and buy some juice from Backwoods brew, MyFreedomSmokes, JuicyVapor or AlienVisions and let us know after that, man. You'll be pumping out the vapor.

Im using ry4 for my juice now and its starting to get more flavor as i continue to vape.
Yep get the 2.0 or 1.5 ohm cartos- much better vape. Also the first fill is VERY important. Keyword when pushing carto into condom of juice is SLOWLY
A few things to keep in mind. There are many juices out there that may be totally different from one another. That being said. You never told us what hardware you have (Cartomizer, Battery combination you are using). Your batteries voltage and your cartomizers resistance will determine the wattage you are vaping. Also you need to make sure you are filling the cartomizers correctly. The first time filling a cartomizer is the most important to get the filling fully saturated otherwise you will get a dry taste and risk burning the filling.
I have tried the ry4 juice a friend of mine had. I found it to be very sweet also.
Are you finding it to be less sweet as the other flavor increases?
